Being too hyped for a game. I mean, it makes sense to wait when you think about it, since if you're too hyped, it pretty much guarantees a bit of disappointment, but it still sounds weird.

I stopped playing Fallout 3 because the I couldnt simply play though the story. Thing is, I want playing the game to play it, I was playing it to finish it. It probably because theres a lot of games I want to get through. I just want to say "Ive finished Fallout 3" and be able to talk about it. So ive kinda given up on that, and am now trying not to buy FF9 from the PSN store. I honestly dont need it.
Also, I never played Shenmue because until recently I had no idea that the dreamcast existed.

I've been playing for hours. Every single solitary character is perfectly balanced to a point where I can hardly believe it myself. This is a fantastic fighting game.Kheapathic said:

I avoided playing Kingdom Hearts because of the characters. First of all I hate Mickey, Donald and Goofy, they're the worse Disney characters ever, even though they are the main mascots. Second of all I feared they would ruin how I look at FF characters. Yeah Cloud may have been a tad emo at the end of FF7 but I like the beginning where he's a cocky badass who has a giant sword that's probably to compensate for something...
Admittedly (Coming from someone who quite liked Portal), it wasn't much to look at (still looked decent though), but the sequel looks absolutely gorgeous.webepoop said:

I am completely put off by the standard medieval fantasy setting and character types. Fortunately, a huge portion of games with such things are RPGs, which means I wouldn't have played them anyway.
