Weirdest reason for not playing a game

I didnt buy Final Fantasy 9 because I hate anime/cartoony graphics

Ah dam my eye sight and my small up all night brain :-@ i was thinking about bitting the bullet and getting it on ps3 network along with 7 and 8 because my friend keeps nagging about it.

Don't get 8. It will just deture you from Final Fantasy and all JRPGs unless you are a committed fan of them. Plus 7 looks like ass so if you are one of those who hate shitty graphics try to steer clear. 9 is defiantly the best of the PS1 Final Fantasies. Followed by Tactics.

I tend to do this one more than I should but "I don't think I could spend 80 hours on a game like that."

That's what I do. Unless a game is ridiculously cheap, I'll only consider purchasing if I feel like I can spend a good few hours playing it.


Other than that, I put off playing Batman: Arkham Asylum because it was a licensed game, despite all the great reviews.

But I loved ff7 played it for so long the in game time stopped at 99:59:59 and graphics are the last thing a game should be worry about. Beat sephiroth in under 30sec.

Good now play it all the way through. It has the best soundtrack in my opinion and it is one of the easiest Final Fantasies. Plus the most references to past games then any Final Fantasy. and Its battle system is the most similar to old games.
Heres a tip: steal from the bosses as much as you can before killing them. Especially the first boss with the dragon head. He will give you the Mage Masher which will help ALOT on the Ice Cavern boss.
and one more tip. Dont change equipment till the character has learned all the abilties from it.

I can't think of a weird reason (from myself or anyone else) for not playing a game.

But I haven't finished Bioshock (it's been 2.5 years since I started it) because I played it during a particularly violent bout of illness. I thought it was a great game, but I think I've come to associate it with vomiting and other such unpleasantries.

I don't play anything Capcom anymore because of their mishandling of their possible franchises outside of whatever can feature Ryu from Street Fighter.

OT: I can't play Gears 2 not because they are too macho it's just that some of the cinematic are too sappy.

When I was 6 or so and I played MegaMan Ledgends or whatever it was called on the N64 and I didn't play through it because I found the first Boss too scary...yeah, and last Summer when I got the game for the PC I quit about 15 minutes in because it made me use my keyboard for aiming.

I've pretty muched refused to even TRY a new Final Fantasy game. I just can't stand Jrpg's anymore . . . they hurt my common sense gland.

i played turn-based games before, but really only on handhelds where you only select your options and the characters do it. i recently got a ff game for playstation and i stopped playing just cause it's a different style than the same ff game on my ds.

i don't play and absolutely refuse to play any games based on dc comics. when it comes to anything based on american comic books marvel is the only way to go!!!

i cannot STAND games based on pure destruction by means of random repeated button pressing! couldn't stand God of War.

And finally i've chosen to not play games just cause i got tired of playing them, while others i would replay multiple times. some games i could be right at the best part in the story but if i get tired of gameplay or anything else in the game for any reason i'll just stop playing.

I'm trying to think of one from me. I'll play almost anything if it fits into the genres I like, and the only reason I won't play a game is if the characters don't interest me. But that's not really a stupid reason.

There's someone I used to know that wouldn't play a game if she was alone. She got bored or something, so she refused to play any games unless someone came over. She had quite a few games but never really finished any. Maybe, like, two of them.
