Definitley Bottle Caps from Fallout.

In a post apocalyptic wasteland, why would bottle caps become a universally traded item? I can understand why money wouldn't be used any more, but what functional purpose to bottle caps have?

And why would every town, place, travelling salesman, etc, all decide these were what you should use for currency?

It makes no sense. There is no logical argument for why bottle caps would make good currency...

I'd say rupies never made a whole lot of sense to me.

Gems that can be found absolutely everywhere in infinite supply.
Admits tall grass, in bushes, on riverbeds, in trees.

It's just like if we did our shopping with rocks.
I do my shopping with rocks.
Allthough I do it differently to link

I come in there with a big sharp rock
I beat them across the skull
Take what I want
Leave
Shopping done.

in my view ff7's GP (used in the golden saucer), they use Gill rest of the time, then they switch to GP, i know it probably just stands for game points, but a lifetime of D&D have wired my brain to think gold piece.
Its the weirdest for me, but I'm weird too.

Munny. I mean, it's clearly different from money, but how...?

Its mystery confuses and disturbs me.
It's made of dog chew toys. Seriously it looks like hackie sacks and sounds like bells. That or the random bits of scrap you use as money in Ratchet and Clank. Maybe in the next more "realistic" one they'll be forced to rip copper wire out of the walls.

Cash. Okay, it's maybe not the weirdest, but it made me chuckle because it's obvious how much thought went into that choice.

I think Fallout 1 said the Water Marchants decided on that and since they control the water, everybody else followed along.

Bottle Caps. Ever since I've played Fallout, I started to collect bottle caps. In hope that, when the nuclear apocalypse arrives, we'll at least have some money to get by.

Would like to be cheeky here... Internet banking on the go. :p
Then a chip and pin when they actually spend it.

OT: Probably Red Faction Guerilla, I never understood as to why no one was taking apart their neighbours cars for spare cash?!?

Edit: Dammit been taken already, I thought I was thinking out of the box there.

I Remember an older RTS called "Knight's Tale" I think, anyway, in the game resources and units were bought with MILK, thats right, milk, you would milk a cow, and it would gather up on a bar on the side of the screen, showing how much you had, and then you would buy things with a certain amount of milk.

You do that too??? I suddenly feel less alone in the world. I just started and I'm up to about fifty. What are you up to?
