okey I will begin this hopefully hilarious topic collection.

after playing FallOut3 for one weekend straight I was so used to save before every conversation (to see how different choices would affect the story) that when I first broke out of the gaming I almost said something horrible to my mother. thinking that if she gets mad I could only load from my last save and wonder off without any consequence >v<

I almost picked up an dirty boby-pin at the bus-station the other day. thinking to myself "NOW I CAN FINALLY OPEN THAT SAFE IN MEGATOWN" before realizing wtf I was doing XP

so... enough embarrassing of myself I guess, so give me some of your funny histories :D

I really wanted to take up riding after beating Red Dead.

Also, when I was 9 I played a crap-ton of Starfox Assault (a terrible game, but it was the only shooter I was really allowed to play), and so sometimes I'd see the targeting stuff from the HUD when I was tired, after playing for a long time.

After playing all the Phoenix Wright games (plus Apollo Justice) over the last few months, i'm starting to say Objection!... A lot

Also i was playing the new L4D map and i found myself hitting the right thumbstick trying to use the locator from Dead Space 2

Sounds like you need to take a break from games for a while, OP.

As for me, the only way that they have affected me is that I tend to use abbreviations from WoW in conversations with other people I play with.

Nothing big or anything like that.

Red Dead Redemption is making me want to be a kinder, nicer person.
A'int gonna happen, though.

ARMA has forced me to plan all of my moves in real life at least 2 steps ahead and has turned me into a brilliant improviser.

Bayonetta made me want lolipops.

Really, really badly.
I see the marketing opportunities in fetishizing Tootsie-roll pops.

In Bayonetta 2, they need to start branding the lollipops with specific brands, raking in the dough to make Bayonetta 3.

I think after playing GTA3 for several hours straight before I left the house.

Red lights take forever after you do that.

Endless Ocean completely broke me, knowledge of the existence of goblin sharks + nearly drowning when I was a child has left me something of a wreck.

Yet I completed a BSc final year module in Oceanography specialising in elasmobranches, go figure.

I went through a time in which I would play Fallout 3 for about 2-4 hours a day (a lot for me) and because of that I came very close to stealing a bobble-head off of a desk at a car dealership.Thank god I stopped myself when I started reaching.

How can you make a Bayonetta 2? that final boss is going to be hard to top. Where do you go after you've killed God?

Games like Swat4 and Rainbow Six 3 make me more careful on stairs and going round corners.

I'm almost sure that OP is lying about that megaton bobby-pin thing, it's almost impossible to play the game whitout finding one in a weekend.

OT: I was really young, about 5 years old. I was playing this game on my friends house (i can't remember the name or console because it has been really long time since i was 5.) It was about this caveman, who was throwing bones as an attack against dinosaurs. Well guess who took all the chinken-bones from garbage and started to throw them around like mainiac :D

I take some satisfaction in it, but I'm still embarrassed that in real life I've been beaten unconscious, run over, mugged, had to hold a guy's face together and been shot at, yet what scares me more than anything is a hadeopelagic shark that I'll probably never see.
