Mei stopped slowly, speaking with a calm tone. "Hrmmmmm.... You have a good point, Aina mei-mei. We need a plan. Duplicates of myself wouldn't be very intimidating though..." She chuckled. "Lets see. Sneak attack sounds like a good solid plan. Can you do any offensive spells or sneak us in? If so I can handle the rest." She cracked her knuckles, her Royal blue dress and her pristine white gloves making the gesture look incredibly odd.

Mei finally turned to face Aina, "And please not Miss Mei. It makes me feel old. Please, just Mei, and no need to be so formal. Please. I hate it when people are so formal around me. Unless I don't like them."

She paused again realizing that she went off on a tangent. "Any ideas?" She started rooting through her bag to pull out brass models all shaped like various anime characters and mechas with a mind boggling array of weapons. "This is what I have to work with. Of course I have other spells but they aren't my specialties."

Markus Grit his teeth as Damien announced the teams, he would have liked to been partnered with Sophia, out of all the possibilities she was the one he hated the least at the moment and also because Damien seemed to arrogantly assume Markus had already lost, The thought of knocking him off his high horse cause him to smile as he cracked his knuckles following Damien out of the nurse's office taking his plate from his pocket and putting it in his palm, thinking this would be as easy as taking candy from a baby.

"Damien, did`nt anyone ever tell you not to count your chickens before they hatch?, although I`ve always found that weird, why would`nt you count the eggs, they`re gonna be chickens anyway, the only way the saying makes sense would be if the eggs could hatch into something different, well I guess roosters, so I guess it does, alright whatever back to the duel" Markus smiled as he walked straight up to Damien wrapping his right hand around the back of his neck and putting his left into the shape of a gun, his plate held onto his palm by his index and pinky fingers, he put the tip of the gun in the center of the X Damien had drawn earlier pressing his fingers directly against one of Damien's ribs.

"hey just so you know, this spell can easily cause bruising at long range with a shockwave that can knock people off their feet, now I have no idea what this spell will do at close range, but won`t it be fun to find out?, oh and fair warning there will also be a slight ringing in your ears" Markus put on a crooked smile, hoping to at least put some fear into Damien before he fired.

"And here we go, Magic in!, Sonic Boom!" Markus fired a single shot the round hitting Damien square in the chest with a thunderous bang, the force almost sending Damien backwards in his wheelchair, saved only by Markus' grip around his neck.

Aina thought for a moment about what she knew. Offensive, offensive... "Nothing very offensive, just a shield, invisibility, well, more accurately I just make people not notice us... but I can also transfer basic emotions, if that works. And I am sorry for calling you 'Miss', I just have just been taught to address everyone with a respectful title." Aina smiled at Mei and clasped her hands behind her back. She stood rigid until she heard what sounded like a gunshot come from the nurse's office, the noise of which made Aina jump a solid foot in the air.

"Me... Mei, should we go se... see what that was?"

Mei sighed. "That would most likely be Markus being too stupid to leave things as they should. Give me a second. I'll send a golem in to make sure everyone is alright." She picked up one of the models and held her card to it, "Nursing Angel Nono." The figure grew to about 2 feet tall and was shaped very closely to a long haired naive looking angel. "Nursing Angel Nono. To the Nurse's office. Tend to the injured if you'd please, use of force is prohibited while within room parameters. Primary function: Caring and tending to wounds. Means necessary to complete goals authorized: All save inflicting injuries, causing pain. Patients with concussions are to be forced into bed. Means confirmed?" The angel bowed to Mei and Aina and spoke with a cutesy tone repeating confirmations to all the things Mei had just said. The golem then bowed once more to Mei and Aina, spread her wings and took off like a rocket causing Mei's dress to flutter in the wind, unintentionally causing her to flash Aina. Mei embarrassedly held her dress down.

"Now that that's out of the way, we can keep moving." Mei grinned, face mildly blushing and changed the subject. "Shield, huh. That'll be helpful. Anyways I specialize in summoning and animation spells, specifically those involving brass. That is pretty much my only form of magic with the exception of some moderately powerful offensive spells and glamour based spells."

Aina looked at Mei with slight amazement as she summoned an angel from a figurine. When her dress flew up, though, Aina looked at Mei with a very, very red face and an uncomfortable sweat forming on the back of her neck. She regained her composure, though, when Mei changed the subject.

"That sounds like a reasonable idea. Maybe we should try attacking first, though. I mean, if we attack fast and hard, we should bring them down. A blitzkrieg attack." She smiled shyly and kept walking in her rigid, robotic way towards the gymnasium.

"So, it's me and James huh..." Sofia sighed as she read the note and listened to Damien's orders. She would rather have been paired with a sophomore since both her and James were rather inexperienced. But she couldn't argue with Damien's logic. James was very distracting so they would probably make a good team. Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud boom outside that made her jump. What the? Is Markus attacking Damien already? I hope he's ok...

"Hey James... We should get going." Sofia said, turning to James. She eager to get this dangerous stuff over with and she wanted to see how Damien was doing outside.

Mei grinned like a maniac, "All right! Let's do this." Mei grinned and held out her card. "Legion of the Gunbuster. Initiate combat mode. Protocol unrestricted. Protect the queen and princess. Defeat the upstarts." Mei put on a ring with what appeared to be a crown in place of the jewel. She handed a second one to Aina. "Take it. Zinc and Copper will recognize you as one of their queen's friends and companions if you wear this." She held out her card. "Legion of the gunbuster. Sub-type 2. Legion of the Brass Queen!" Zinc and Copper seemed to drain a bit of MP from the card and began to grow into larger forms. Each of them around 5' tall and carrying swords at their waists. They saluted Mei and moved in a steady fashion to keep up with Aina.

"Indeed we should Sofia!" James looked far too enthusiastic for someone heading off on a serious mission but it was unlikely that "serious" was even in James' vocabulary. "We'll have no trouble wiping the floor with these plate-stealing clowns, you have that pro shadow thingimybob spell so we're practically unbeatable now." James shook his sleeves until his plate fell into his hand and grinned.

"He said they were in the gym right? This should be easy, I can pull one of them over, you can bind them and I'll nick the plate and we can take off back here! With any luck all the theives will be after us and they'll run smack bang into here." James made as if to dash out the door and stopped as if he suddenly remembered something. "I don't suppose your spell can affect multiple opponents? I can try shock anyone who gets too close but we might be a little outnumbered."

The library had been open since 7 o'clock today, give or take half an hour, and had seen very few people. Kelsey wondered just how many people, not counting anyone in the library club, would actually go to use the library on a weekend...? Two? Maybe a few more once homework started piling up? Having to come here early on a Sunday and sit behind the main desk just for those two or three people would have seemed stupid to the average person, but Kelsey enjoyed the extra time for uninterrupted catching up on work, reading and research. It was better than forcing her to supervise, after all.

She was on a self-allowed break after catching up on work. More specifically, a representative from the journalism club had delivered the first batch of school papers, she had put them on a rack near the front doors and then she had decided that she had done enough work to earn some breakfast. She had left a note at the library front desk explaining her absence and saying she would definitely be back soon, just in case anyone else showed up while she was gone, but she didn't expect anyone to. Right now she was heading for the in-school store with her head buried in a book.

This is going rather slowly, methinks. Perhaps we should think up something to speed things along?

I don't really mind all that much if other people want to continue with this MEC activity though. I'm just kinda thinking that I don't have much to do, but I could probably deal with that if everyone's cool with how things are now.

Sofia couldn't help but smile as she watched James get so worked up over this little mission they'd been sent on. It was good to see that he was still the same old James after what had happened yesterday. But there were more pressing matters at hand, like their assignment. James seemed to think this would be east, but Sofia wasn't so sure. They were outnumbered, but at least their opponents would be freshmen just like they were. "Uh, I think I can Shadow Bind multiple people... They all have to be touching my shadow though, which could be kinda tricky to pull off." She replied, trying to think up ways to make that happen.

As she thought, she walked out the door with James and towards the gym. "Oh! I have an idea. What if you use that Obnoxious Fumes thing in the gym and then if they run out the door I can get them all there. Although, it might be better if we try to take them on one at a time rather than all at once. Maybe we could lure one out, you knock him out with your shock spell and I'll take his place for an ambush?" Sofia said rattling off the first few ideas that popped into her head. She was actually kinda having fun with this despite herself since there wasn't really a whole lot at stake anyway. It's not like they could kill her or anything.

James fancied himself as a bit of a military commander as he listened to Sofia speak, Damien had said he wanted the plate stealers brought back to him which would probably be the hard part.

"Damien said something about using their plates as bait didn't he? Luring one over and taking their plate would be safer but we don't know if all of them would chase us and the others would still have plates to fire ranged spells at us. I think we should go with your first suggestion of pulling all of them over and trapping them in one go. It's risky but it means we can get all their plates, so not only do all of them have reason to follow us right back here but they can't use any magic against us either." James' eyes flicked ahead, noting they were nearing the gym.

Sofia nodded along as James spoke. She had forgotten that they had to bring the culprits back but like James said, that probably wouldn't be a problem once they got the plates away from them. "Yeah, let's go with that then. We kinda gotta get this right in one go though, otherwise the surprise is ruined." Everyone she'd met so far seemed surprised that she could use Shadow Bind. Hopefully these guys would be no exception.

Sofia stopped when they reached the door to the gym. Since they only had one chance at this, Sofia took plenty of time to make sure her shadow filled the entire doorway with no room for someone to sneak through. She pulled out her plate and held it over her shadow, ready to go. "Alright James. Ready when you are." She said, preparing to hold her breath if James decided to use the Fumes again.

Hello everyone. This is your resident delinquent GM speaking to you from the hospital. Again. It turns out a shard of metal broke off inside my leg, and was hidden from scans because it hid underneath the bone. that meant more surgery and more painkiller, which means a smaller and smaller attention spam and general temporal IQ from myself. (As you can plainly tell, my supplies are running low. Hah.) I realize that I have been/am a crap GM. This shall be fixed. However, I cannot possibly do such a thing right now, as I have finals coming up next week. Thus, this RP is going on temporary Hiatus until next Thursday, when I have some personal time to devote to RP'ing. I will being in new blood at that time, and have already received a few sheets to that effect. I am sorry for disappointing all of you. I will PM each one of you personally on Thurday asking you if you wish to continue RP'ing with me. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas/Hanukkah/Ramadan (sorry if I spelled any of those wrong) and a happy New Year. See ya on Thursday, folks.

...now if you'll excuse me, I have to wheel myself over to my desk, pop more Vikaden, and pray that the combination of painkiller and coffee doesn't kill me, or kills me before next week.
