Mopping his forehead with a handkerchief, the Butler explained

"This isn't just supposed to be a bloodbath, we've set things up to give humans a chance! But apparently the he thinks otherwise..."

Greg, with a concerned look on his face, turns to the butler. "We might still have a chance, how many can there be?"

The Butler shuddered

"Well...it depends. Snatchers don't scream like that so it could be any number of things..."

Greg's face was losing it's colour. Adrenaline began to run through his body, almost cancelling out the rush of the nicotine. His heart was beating fast. He knew he needed to keep his wits about him. He didn't know enough about this place and the things in it. Then, he recalled the Chef's small orb...

"The chef had a small, glass ball, it had a pulsing light, does that give any ideas?"

"What if they don't have a key?" Gregory thinks to himself. Not wanting to just stand around he looks around the hall for a solid object, hoping to find something that can shatter the glass.

Rachael reacts to the scream with terror, she immeadiately grabbed Val's arm and pulled her down the hallway, towards the great hall.

Come On!

 

[Acier]

"Wha-." Val stumbled along at first but then kept pace with Rachael. Now obviously wasn't a good time to ask questions, but she knew that the key was important, so maybe she could hold some weight.

 

[Quad08]

Main Hall

Meanwhile, in the Main Hall, the Butler and Greg are still waiting for the others

"I'm certain the others will be hear soon" The Butler said looking around

"And don't try and break the glass, its unbreakable...you'd just be wasting your strength and..."

He looks up suddenly as the other make there way into the room

"Who has the key?!" he asks worriedly

Greg puts down the chair with something of a disappointed look on his face.

Greg looks up at the other two who have now arrived and can't help but notice the Val.

 

[Acier]

"Um, I have it." Valencia showed the key to the man. This musts be that butler the cloud mentioned.

"But before I give it to anyone, I want to know what's going on."

 

[Quad08]

The Main Hall

"Beings from outer dimensions have kidnapped you and placed you in a contest to see if you'll survive. You win, you get a wish, or you die"

The Butler quickly explained

"We're all playing a sadistic game blah blah blah, we get it. Enough of this useless talking already! We need to get out of here before these Snatcher things find us." Audrina piped up, her patience growing thin. She had no clue what was going on and it was driving her mad. She ran a hand through her hair, trying to calm herself again before turning towards the new girl. "Look, I don't know who the hell you are and to be frank I really dont want to. Just please give him the key we need to leave. I know we're all scared and confused but I, I mean we don't have time for this." She said, quickly correcting herself.

 

[Acier]

Val inserted the key into the hole.

The butler's explanation didn't even surprise her at this point. Nor did anyone's actions, normally she would be upset that people were being so rude and not willing to help, but so far nobody seemed to thank her for finding that key or giving it to them. She stepped back, deciding to let them handle, they seemed to not need her anyways.

The Main Hall

"Ok, thank you Valencia" The Butler smiled

"Now Greg, instert your...*GLARG!*"

The Butler stumbled forward, a large silver blade sticking out of his back and coming out of his chest.

He collapsed to the ground, blue blood coming out of his mouth, his body twitching at random

Finch stopped, his mouth agape in horror. He looked over at the rest of the group and saw they all had similar faces.

"What the Hell..." he began, trailing off as he noticed what was behind Butler.

What the hell...? Rachael immdeaiantly kick the door as hard as she could and ran outside, The door being opened by the 2 keys made it easy she ran out of the house and out the front.

The Main Hall

A man stands atop the stairs leading down to the Main Hall, the silver blade reappearing in his hands, he licks the blood off the blade, grinning down at the group.

He is richly dressed like a prince of old, looking exactly as he did in the portrait in the right hall...The Prince.

The Forest

As soon as you make it outside, the doors will automatically close behind you and cannot be reopened

Spread out before you are a dark woods, the trees twisted and dark in the bluish night of the glowing twin moons in the green star sky.

However your attention is soon drawn to a larger planet in the night sky...Earth, hovering right above the distant city.

There are two paths, one labeled atop a wooden signpost

The one on the right points to Death, the other on the left points to Oblivion

Rachael stands there thinking for a moment, Well, I was bound to die sooner or later.. She then walks straight towards the road marked death.

You ain't got shit scary forest!

Val instinctively reached for her maglight when she saw the man with the knife, if was a full sized one too. She planned on travelling in remote places in South Asia for her thesis, and Maglights were almost indestructible,not to mention the big ones (like the one she had) were heavy enough to be an effective club. She figured some remote village is the last place you want your flashlight breaking.

At least she didn't have to say she over did it.

Audrina's eyes were wide with fear as she stumbled backwards. The butler's body crumbled on the floor, saturated in blue blood making her stomach churn and threaten to release whatever was still there. Her hand reached behind her slowly, trying to feel for the door handle. Her hand clasped around the cold metal as she backed herself against it, ready to run like hell when the time came. The only thing keeping her rooted there was his sword; if it could kill the butler it had to be useful for other monsters in the city. She tried to shrink into the shadows, waiting for someone else to make the first move.

The Main Hall

The Prince snapped his fingers and suddenly, the Mansion started to shake, as if an earthquake was happening.

From behind the Prince, another shrill scream was heard...and a green light emitted from the library

The Butler rolled over, his eyes growing dim

"Y..ou...m-must...esca..."

Then he burst into dust
