Finch, almost instinctively, struck his arm out in front of Audrina, acting as a guard between her and the creature. His temper was begining to flare as a red mist descended over his eyes.
"Get. The fuck. Back." he uttered, staring down the creature with eyes that glistened in sheer fury. His mind was racing again, hitting the ole Warp Speed, and his mouth was dry as a desert. He wanted to kill it, wanted to smash it, wanted to rip it apart with his bare han-
Keep it together Finch the old familiar voice o' reason making it's presence known. You remember what happened last time
"Last time..." he muttered to himself.
He looked at the creature now, his temper subsiding, and his mouth was set in a smile again.
"So, you're a key? You wanna do us a favour and yano, change into that shape? Or whatever it is you do? Cos if you don't, I'm afraid we're gonna have to be going. Keeping alive is such a regimentary thing, you see."
Audrina had frozen in place as the tentacle made its way to her, her breathing hitched and her eyes closed waiting for impact of its attack. She had been careless with her words and now she was paying for it. She hoped her death would not last to long. Thought after terrifying thought rushed through her mind the second she realized her mistake. Finch's voice brought her back to reality though. 'He was... defending her? This confused Audrina, they had just met and she had been nothing but rude to him yet he risked his own life to defend her. 'Last time...' those two words repeated in her head, 'What did he mean last time? It must have been the same girl that the butler mentioned. He must be trying to make amends with his past,' she figured. In no time at all though, his old goober smile returned to its rightful place on his face as he returned to normal self. Audrina chalked it up to a slight case of bipolar but it could have been anything. She knew though he could become a lose cannon and that was dangerous, especially here. She remained motionless, staring at the tentacle trying to get her nerves under control.
We need to have some people meet here because there is no way in hell some of you missed eachother, so before I start the next few scenes this is what I'd like to happen from some of you...GreatCoolEnergy, the chest is gone, EClaris took it and should be right behind you. We'll say she took it while you weren't looking, nothing bad will happen to you in the Green house if you choose to turn around. FalloutForever, sorry that didn't work but since EClaris was also in the right hallway you should have seen her if you wish to try and meet her again. Everyone else is fine. Don't worry though, you WILL NOT be able to leave the mansion unless you all leave as a group. I'm at a friends place right now so I will be unable to post this evening but expect new stuff to go down tomorrow. Overall I congradulate you all so far at surviving and making this RP work so well!
DownpourLiar, you wanna lay off the posting until Quad gets his stuff up tomorrow? Kinda pointless getting the back and forth going while theres a snakedemon in our faces :')
Jason didn't like the look of this green house. He had no idea if man eating plants could exist, but in this place he didn't doubt it. He decided to head straight for the chest, see what was inside.
Okay, I guess this wasn't for nothing. But what am I supposed to do with this?
Val began walking back when she saw the Music Room door open, see peered inside. She saw a girl this time. Val had no idea where guitar guy went, but maybe she'd have better luck with her.
"I think the better question is who are you. Considering you look pretty comfortable in this place, or am I the only one being assaulted by hellspawn?"
FalloutForever said:
Rachael turned around, freightend What the??Who are you..?
"YoU dArE TOuCh MY iNsTrumENts!" The floating darkness in the middle of the Music Room starts to expand, thunder and lighting booming inside of it
The Kitchen
"He enjoy mind game. He cat, you all mice's" The Chef explained, as he finished chopping the meat and carrying the bucket of it over to, what looked like a fridge and shoved the bucket inside.
"Snatchers take all little people like you away when they come fo the game. As fo meat, i just cook, no no what kind"
The Chef reached into his apron and took out a glowing white ball, that pulsated slowly
"Snatchers are comin, you bester leave soon"
The Library
"You tiny human minds try my patience....A key is not always what fits in a lock, a key simply represents something that important to a certain situation. The reason I am a key is due to the fact that I know everything about what is going on. Lucky for you, your presence has annoyed me enough to let the two of you ask one question and receive a true answer as long as you promise to leave me. I'm certain the butler can repair MY door."
The tentacle thing swevered to Finch
"But I'd watch your tongue boy, before something takes it"
Greg listened intently to what the chef had to say, taking notes as well.
Then the Chef said they were coming... Greg stops, "They are? The Snatchers?". Momentarily frozen in fear. He shakes it off and picks up the food and water he has scavenged.
"Thank you Chef (didn't get his name), thank you for your help and your hospitality." Greg takes a bite of food and rushes for the door. He turns back, looks at the beast,
"You could come with us if you like you know, you don't have to stay here...". He gives the beast a last look. "Good Luck" he says and with that rushes out the door. As he passes the Portrait of the Prince he notices something, the Prince is not in it.
"The Chef was right..." Greg says to himself. He then continues onward to the Great hall.
He runs in. He stops and walks in a small circle before sitting cross-legged on the floor and gets back to eating, making sure to leave some for any others. He hoped they had an easier time than him. The meat, which tasted quite foul at first is starting to grow on him.
Then it hit him, it could be human flesh. He stopped mid-mastication. His eyes wide. He laid the food down. He was shaking, terrified that he may have just eaten another person, someones son or daughter. "Oh no, no, no no nonono" he said to himself. Greg looked up, and saw the butler still there, looking out at the city.
He opened his mouth, finding it difficult to speak. Talking in between gag reflexes.
"Plea... Please tell me no... Please tell me that meat is not human", moving on his knees now towards the butler. "Please...". A pair of tears begin to make their way slowly down his pale cheeks.
"Well I'm Val. And I wasn't captured.I'm just sort of...here.But that whole kidnapping thing sounds like nasty business. But I have to ask, where are these capturers? And why don't you seem to be in any kind of rush to escape? Actually, nevermind that. I realized it wasn't important when I remembered a disembodied head bit my arm and a tree attacked me. Where are we and what's going on?"
Val turned to the smoke, that guy made it out okay and he took a guitar with him. She figured it had more bark than bite.
"I saw someone leave with a guitar, why does he get special treatment?"
