Greg crouched down beside the creature.
"I'm so sorry, but you can't go back. You've been trapped here." Tears began to stream down Greg's face. He pulls the torch back out.
"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust."

 

[Quad08]

With a final twitch, the creature lay silent...

Audrina crouched down next to Gregory, feeling sorrow for him. He seemed in physical agony for the snatcher's death. She put, what she hoped, was a caring hand on his arm. "It's all over for him now. It's better this way. We should get going though before we have to do that again," she said straightening back up, her voice soft. "Val, do you think you could look at Finch's hand on the way, I'm shit with first aid besides the basics." She wrapped her arms around herself, taking a deep breath before starting down the trail."Come on, we can't wait for more of those, let's at least get to the city before noon," she said, her voice returning to it's cold calculating sound.

 

[Acier]

"Yeah sure thing." She got went over to Finch and looked at his wrist. She rummaged in her first aid kit and brought out a plastic splint,she pulled the tight elastic brace off her hand "Here you need this more than I do." She slipped on the brace, and inserted the plastic inbetween keeping his hand still. "Here take some of these" handing him a few aspirin.

"We better get going." She picked her necklace back u and fallowed Audrina.

 

[Quad08]

ARRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The wolf-like howl repeats itself, although it sounds like whatever is making the noise is much closer now

Audrina felt her blood run cold, 'So it wasn't the snatcher that made the sound. Shit.' "We need to run, Val you think you're up to it?" she asked not wanting to leave behind an amazing fighter who knew how to kill the snatchers. 'How large can this forest be? Can't be too much further to the City, could it?'

 

[Acier]

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I could, I might have a weird gait but I bet I could keep up the pace." Began began to hobble towards the path forward and began to pick up speed,it hurt the most when she started and after she stopped.
I can do this, I won't be left behind

[Gorrister]

Gorrister stopped in his tracks as the howl echoed throughout the forest.

Well damn, and here I thought things couldn't get any worse.

Adjusting the brace on his wrist slightly, he took a bottle of beer out of his pocket he had saved from ealier. It was slightly warmer now that it had been in his jeans for a period of time, but still cool enough to drink. He popped the three aspirin in his mouth and shotted them back with a large gulp of beer. Drinking the rest of the bottle, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and smashed the bottle in half on the tree, clutching the neck of the bottle like the hilt of a dagger.

If we're gonna be attacked, better to have something to defend ourselves with. he thought to himself.

He then looked over at Audrina, a sad look on his face.

But I may have some other use for it yet...

Oh no's, Finch is getting weird!

Gregory, having snuffed out the flame to save for later in case they get attacked again began to walk towards the others, keeping his distance.
I just killed someone. He kept running that thought over in his head. He had a family, a little boy, probably a wife. Did I do the right thing?
He notices Val having trouble and moves to help her, putting one arm around his neck and helping her to run.
"Try to stay off it as much as possible." He said in a low sad tone. The smile gone from his face. He had killed someone and it did not sit well with him.

A growl is heard from the edge of your campsite. Whether this is the thing that was howling before remains unknown

You can:

A) Stand your ground and find out what it is

B) Run away down the path towards the city

Gregory hears a growling coming from the camp. He turns around and looks back to see what obstacle has been sent against them this time.

 

[DownpourLiar]

Audrina chewed on her bottom lip, looking in the direction where a growl came from. They could try and out run it or face it now. "I think we need to get the hell out of dodge before whatever made that sound attacks," she said never peeling her eyes away from the tree line.

 

[Gorrister]

Finch turned back to see the others stopping, nervously looking around to see where the growl had come from. He strode up beside Audrina and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I don't think whatever it is wants to ask us out for a beer Audrey." he said with a nervous chuckle. "Shall we make like a tree?" he asked, a grim set look of determination stapeled on his face.

Gregory turns to Val, looks down at her foot. "Hmm, we don't want to get caught now do we?"

Gregory steps in front of her, hoists her onto his back, piggy-back style, and legs it as fast as he can away from the camp towards the Dark City, hoping to find a slightly safer place to hide.

 

[Quad08]

Savage howls echo around you as you make your way towards the Dark City. Turns out whatever was growling at you wasn't alone.

However, as you make your way towards the city a dark cloaked figure steps out of the forest and blocks the path. It is a short figure, barely 4' tall, but its sickening presence fills the air

"Greetings contestants. I am the Dealer and I have heard that you have lost something...dear on this quest of yours. Make I deal with me and I will tell you where she is"

It speaks in a high squeaky voice

 

[TheScarecrow]

Gregory stops, pausing for a moment to look at the Dealer. "Oh, hello, listen, we're in a bit of a rush, somethings trying to kill us, so if you could just, you know, step aside?"

Gregory looks at the Dealer, hoping he'll move aside. Despite the Dealer's claims there are more pressing matters...

 

[Acier]

"Are you talking about Rachel? We know she's dead. Just let us through. Also Greg, if you get tired let me know, I can run for a bit, no use having us both die."

 

[Quad08]

The Dealer points to Val, cackling crazily

"And that young princess, is where you are wrong. The one called Rachel...is still alive"
