So...has anything about the single player portion of the game been made public yet or should I just give up whatever remaining hope I had that there will be a decent single-player portion of this game?
The SP will be shown next week and how has this decreased your hope for a good single-player portion?Shoggoth2588 said:So...has anything about the single player portion of the game been made public yet or should I just give up whatever remaining hope I had that there will be a decent single-player portion of this game?
Just being over-dramatic. It seems like every scrap of new information is about the multiplayer. Not surprising considering it's Halo but I was hoping there would be more single player info out by now.Korten12 said:The SP will be shown next week and how has this decreased your hope for a good single-player portion?Shoggoth2588 said:So...has anything about the single player portion of the game been made public yet or should I just give up whatever remaining hope I had that there will be a decent single-player portion of this game?
They did show Single-player details and screenshots over a month ago in Gameinformer and now in various magazines, although it's just the first level.Shoggoth2588 said:Just being over-dramatic. I think the difference is in how they implement them. Just anecdotally, CoD auto-aim feels a lot stronger than Halo auto-aim - you feel like your sight is being jerked to your target, vs. minor tracking assist to compensate for the limitations of console shooters. And in Halo, you need to either significantly outmaneuver someone or use on of your slots to carry a melee weapon around to get the melee insta-kills.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Kahunaburger said:(generous auto-aim,?Kahunaburger said:instant-death knives, etc.)
Halo has always had those in one form or another.
...getting little worked up aren't we? Some people like having choice in video games, spawning every single match with the same weapon can get boring after awhile, is it really that big of a deal to spice things up? Wait wait, I should probably communicate this in the same way you would do this, if you like doing the same thing over and over again with nothing changing, why don't you open up microsoft word and keeping pressing the same button. What's that? That doesn't make any sense? Neither does your Excel comment.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:I just dislike the look of it because all of a sudden theres Stopping Power in Halo.bauke67 said:Wow, it's amazing to see how many people will just flat-out lose all interest in the game and any future instalments, because it has more customisation options and because a few of very likely many more armor variants don't look very good.
Now that's true dedication right there.
Why? Why is it there? Why does it need to be there? All it's going to do is fuck up the balance.
Oh, sorry, I forgot. You can customize. Woop de fucking do. If opening a list and selecting something from options is so much fun to you, theres always Excel.
Haha, nice one, but I don't have Excel on my xbox, so I suppose I'll have to buy halo 4.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:I just dislike the look of it because all of a sudden theres Stopping Power in Halo.

First one looks like it was ripped off of a Big Daddy from Bioshock.BiggyShackleton said:The first one looks fucking sweet and would make sense for an underwater type Spartan. The second is a clusterfuck.oZode said:Spartan IVs look like they were designed by a 12 year old!

G.I.Joe anyone?
Edit: And totally ripped from Dead Space.
Halo isn't about customization dude. It's about using teamwork (though that part has been unrecognized by a large part of its players) to control the map using power weapons, superior battle-field locations, and skill with each weapon (standard or otherwise) to overpower the other team.Phlakes said:Oh no. Customization. The entire franchise is ruined forever. Such betrayal. I can't believe people can choose things now. That's not real Halo.
*sigh. If they were just making more "real" Halo people would be angry that there wouldn't be enough change.
In Halo 2 it was duel wield needle's. In Reach its anyone with any competent use of armor lock, jet-pack or evade and general aim with a plasma grenade or any weapon.Sassafrass said:Well, the only MP I've played "competitively" is 3 and Reach, which seemed pretty balanced to me. Only experience I have with CE and 2's MP is split screen dicking around and two v one LAN matches with friends.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Lol'd. Halo 3 was pretty balanced, but that's about it. All the others had a horrendously overpowered weapon or piece of equipment in them.Sassafrass said:And if there's one thing Halo's MP has done well in the past is balance, I think.oZode said:I just hope they don't allow people to spawn with the energy sword, that would just be retarded. Imagine how retarded that would be, spawning with a 1-hit kill weapon?![]()
While I can certainly agree with the former, I've little to no faith in the latter.bauke67 said:Besides that, the people making halo 4 probably aren't retarded, so I'm sure they'll manage at least something reasonable.
And that's why customization is an addition, not the entire game. Just because something exists doesn't mean everything else has been removed.Jaeke said:Halo isn't about customization dude. Not about the person with the quickest nerve-reflex with trigger buttons and the current op'd combo of abilities.
