Snaking was doing the drifts really fast left and right so that you go faster on a straight path. They're meant to be used on turns but with snaking you can do lots of little drift boosts and it looks like you're moving like a snake, hence 'snaking'.Nazulu said:Well yeah, it's all about the game play to me. It just feels less strategic and the fact that the overpowered weapons come so often makes the game more about luck than ever before.
I don't know what exactly snaking is but I think I know, you mean skidding by holding down the R button or whatever and it makes you turn faster. That was a flipping awesome strategy and it gave the novice players find more ways to test themselves in the game, very big selling point. That alone is enough to put me off the game entirely and unfortunately this isn't the only game that has done stuff like this.
However this doesn't make the game shit, it has got it's pros like the online play feature and what not, but compared to the game play in the early Mario Karts it doesn't compare.
Yep that is THE best Star Wars game ever made. Also the sequel is pretty good too; Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike. Of course there's also Super Mario Sunshine and The Legend Of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (which is best in the unlikely situation that you and three other friends have GBAs.....and link cables....probably not then).Jon Etheridge said:Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2: Rouge Leader. Serious? I have never heard of it before, that sounds awesome! Thanks for that.Douk said:Snaking was doing the drifts really fast left and right so that you go faster on a straight path. Ashamed? I still have my Xbox 1, an N64 I bought last year, and a PS1, as well as an original gameboy, and I'm proud!Mr. Fister said:And I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that I own all three last-gen systems.![]()
As well as hurt your fingers. It can be done in DD and Mario Kart DS, and if you don't use it you LOSE. That's why its game breaking, and lame to use.Nazulu said:Serious? I know you don't like the idea but you got to admit that does add even more strategy to the game.
Well they do it for fun and to be really competitive, it's not like you have to play those people. It's great to have special techniques and skills in games, makes it a lot more interesting and gives the really dedicated players something to look forward to.Douk said:As well as hurt your fingers. what planet are you on? how is a wii not much more expensive than a gamecube?SuperMse said:I'd hate to ask this, but why didn't you get a Wii? Its fully backwards-compatible and not that much more expensive. I'd return the gamecube and get myself a Wii if I were you.
In either case, make sure to pick up Smash Bros. Melee and Wind Waker. Sorry if I sounded rude.
This list makes me want my Game Cube back.atomictoast said:Metroid Prime 2

Smash Brothers Melee
Windwaker (I prefer this one over Twilight Princess)
Custom Robo
Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door
Viewtiful Joe
Super Monkey Ball
Alien Hominid
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
Resident Evil (Remakes)
Luigi's Mansion
Resident Evil 4 (If you haven't played it.)
Soul Calibur 2
Killer 7
Enjoy. Play them all.
I'm slightly ashamed because having all three systems without being rich is a good way of making yourself look like a nerd.Zombie Badger said:Ashamed? Also, how do you use italics?
Thanks, and I don't have a job, and I don't feel nerdy.Mr. Fister said:I'm slightly ashamed because having all three systems without being rich is a good way of making yourself look like a nerd.Zombie Badger said:Ashamed? And to use italics, type [.i]stuff[/i.] without the . in the tags, so it will show up as stuff. You can also bold and underline text this way.

Anyway, I recommend Timesplitters Future Perfect. Best damn fun I've had with split screen multiplayer in ages.
