I don't mind most horror stuff but the trailer to 'The Human Centipede' really disgusted me. Such a horrible idea..

I saw a crappy little movie called Darkness Falls. Didn't sleep that night.
(I mean come on, a "toothfairy" who cuts you up if you're in darkness?) seriously!)

Dr Who is nothing on the not sleeping front.

The Orphanage, though... man, the kid with the bag on his face.

I watched The Human Centipede trailer. Yep. Go look it up if you haven't seen it - I guarantee you will not shut your eyes for three weeks without seeing that thing writhing over and over behind your eyelids.
I just watched the trailer. Something about it just seemed laughable. Probably the bad acting and it's sheer ridiculousness.

You as well? What is it about this? That movie doesn't even strike me as a decent horror movie. I would think it was a horror movie spoof if the music was a little different.

Recently, reading World War Z kept me up. I was a very anxious and nervous child with a vivid imagination, so it didn't take much for me to stay up frightened when I was little.

A movie I watched as a kid (idk around 6ish) also kept me freaked out for weeks, I didnt know what it was called for years, however now I believe its Predator 2 (haven't seen it yet but I'm certain that was it), where the predator gets the people in the subway, that one scene use to haunt me for years!

Ah Marble Hornets. Didn't really keep me up but it was rather creepy, well up until chapter 14.

The only thing that ever caused my eyes to fly open while laid in bed and remain that way for a good hour was a painting. It's called Hands Resist Him. I don't know why but it really got to me. If you go on youtube there are plenty of videos on it, they also descibe its dubious background. Creepy stuff.

The Happening.
I've only watched that once and I was incredibly pissed at the time. It made me feel sooooooo ill watching it.

Sadly, my thing that stopped me from sleeping is much more pathetic.

An episode of Goosebumps, one with werewolves. Scared the FUCK out of me.

The Doctor Who episode, The Empty Child. That's the one with the gas mask zombies. I was seriously scared by that one.

Fatal Frame. i don't think i will ever sleep with the light off again.
That is by far the only genuinly scary game that has ever been made. It's also the only one I;ve ever had to take a break to stop playing because I was getting paranoid IRL.
God dammit, I need to find my old copy, they cost about $150.00 now...

I think it was Fatal Frame 3, the doll room...
I remember shitting myself I was so scared.

EDIT: This happened because as I saw the ghost face in the wall, my cat jumped on my lap.

I swear that cat was trying to kill me.
i had a similar experince with a game i was playing fear files late at night and just as something flew past ym character my blind knocked a cup off my table and i freaked out screaming.

the one movie that kept me from sleeping for awhile has got to be the bunker that film sacred me because i was watching late at night in the dark and was tired.

I've never had a 'too scared to sleep' moment, but the most scared I've been of a film was watching the exorcist when i was 13; i wisely decided to watch it by myself in the dark

I watched paranormal activity last month, supposedly the scariest film in a while., I laughed all the way through a how bad it all was.
Though being drunk and surrounded by mates probly helped.

The god damn Ring when I was in year 5, didn't watch TV for a bit either.
And this didn't keep me up but the "Mother" from Dragon Age: Awakening was creepy.
