About 5 minutes.

I read half of a linked page, and left.

Which I find odd, because I get addicted to things far too easily.
... which is also the main reason I refuse to play an MMO.
My experience was a little more into it than that. I was more or less like "Alright, TV Tropes... Lets get down to business..."

I started out with Fake Difficulty and ended with Fake Balancing

Wasn't interested.

So I stopped. (Fake Balancing is linked in Fake Difficulty, for those that do not know)

If I start watching a new show, I'll probably spend most of my 9 hour shift at work surfing tvtropes.

My first proper time lasted.....8 hours.

I went through like a thousand links.

Started at Warhammer 40k and went on from there, it was so epic.

NOT GOING NOT GOING NOT GOING.

It's like exploring a dungeon - I find a hallway with a fork in it, and then each of those fork off, and each of those fork off, and I need to check out all of them before I leave.

5 minutes "hey man check out this funny article" = 5 hours.

It's always one of my tabs and even when it gets closed down I go into my history to find wher I left off.

Way too long. I'm a troper. Seriously, whatever you do, do not click on this link. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SchmuckBait]

Probably somewhere between 1 and 2 and a half hours.... and it was only intended as a five minute browse... you click interesting tabs, are forced to read them before you close the browser... then realise those pages are chock-full of MORE interesing links.

It's the crack cocaine of the internet.

I arrive in uni at 9:00 AM.
I sit down at the library PC to waste some time before my first lecture.
03:00 PM: I look up to find the entire day gone and 3 lectures missed.

I spent the better part of a day there, once.

The first time I found the site, I soon learned that Firefox has a "Bookmark All Tabs" option, thus preserving my sanity. I still have the folder.

By this point, I've gotten through all of the list, and my typical visits last between 5-30 minutes these days.

From January 26, 2008. I haven't been reading it for a while. Why?

3 hours is my max. Luckily I usually have the self-control to just go "enough of that. All TVTropes tabs will be closed right now, even the ones I didn't read yet".
