As everyone else has said, It's the Daily Mail.
In the words of Russell Howard, Daily Mail may as just say, "DON'T GO OUTSIDE! Blacks, crime, queers everywhere!"

Daily Mail. That entire publication exists to boil right wing blood. Not a reliable source for ANY information. Think of it as the UK's Fox.
The daily mail isn't that bad Imo... doesn't mean its any good either.

OT: Its not like i go out much anyway... and even if i do the area i live in is always windy, not the conditions for a small extreamly light flying camara.

how will unmanned drones PREVENT crime?
i mean, if they just hang cameras (which i heard was once a plan
of the british), it'd be just as effective, and cost a lot less.
it's not like the drones can swoop down and arrest the culprit =S
Well, you could arm the drone
And this is awesome. UAVs are so cool. And when the police inevitably crash one, i can take it for myself :D

at least Steven Fry will get a decent show that isn't fecking QI.... that makes it all worth it.

besides, this is the Daily Mail... that means we can possibly assume from this that the government has these planes and the police occasionally look at people.

besides, it's in kent, nobody gives a shit about kent, and nobody breaks the law down there (apart from hosepipe bans) so who cares?

That's British slang for "This is most likely not even based on facts".

As the comedian Russell Howard puts it, the average Daily Mail headline is:
"DON'T GO OUTSIDE! It's full of queers, blacks and crime! Oh, if only Diana were here."

Which shows exactly how seriously that paper should be taken.
Oh that made me laugh.

You're right though; The Daily Mail is hardly a reliable source of information but it did mention the Guardian in there and, all it's spelling errors aside, is possibly the best newspaper in this country. As for the spy-planes, I think it's a bloody ridiculous idea. I was just starting to feel sorry for Gordon Brown and was even considering voting Labour this year rather than Lib Dem but I just can't deal with the though of a PM who would let our police forces do something like this. Also, "Global warming, blah, blah, blah. We need to do less flying blah, blah, blah." How does this make ANY sense?

Nobody who has read Jan Moir's column on Stephen Gately's death can call the Daily Mail "not that bad". It's a terrible paper, focusing on nothing more than "broken britain" and immigrants.

I'm gonna agree with almost everyone here and denounce the Daily Mail as 'reliable' or even a 'news source'. The Daily Mail is one of the worst shit-rags to ever come out of this country.

Ooooo... Diana... Maddy.... MUSLIMS

I read there and stopped. Nothing good has ever come from that source.

Also wouldn't 1984 be a better choice than V for Vendetta? It's simpler, easily recognizable, and these situations are referred to as "Orwellian."
Same, The Daily Mail is about as credible as asking the fat kid where all the doughnuts suddenly fucked off too...

Though oh my god if it's true, now we won't be allowed to be illegal anyway, soon i won't be able to start fights for no reason and stone houses. CURSE YOU GOVERNMENT TRYING TO STOP ME BEING A CRIMINAL, DAMN YOU DIRTY APES!!!!

Or can they?

OT: As with every I hear of I won't believe it unless it comes from a reliable source.

Yea, but if you're anything like me, then whenever someone says "1984" I immediately think they are some pseudo-intellectual douche-bag trying to sound smart to impress girls.

nice avatar, top gear is awesome.

OT: I think that if this is true then what will America do? We always need to be on top when it comes to civil injustices.

Look, if it cuts down on crime in this crime filled country then it's ok by me.
There's crime everywhere in the world. the bigger the country, the more crime there will be, why? because theres more places and more people to commit.

its only a matter of time before 1984 or V for Vendetta or even Watchmen actually happens for reals and when it does, its only a matter of time before we all end up as backstory for fallout.
