I'm an engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like...

Anyway, yeah. I rarely play Medic. I prefer an assault class (Demoman or Soldier) or a directly defensive class (Engineer).

Medic has always been my calling.

I don't like dying, and a team without medics dies pretty easily. So medic has become my class of choice.

In TF2, its my 3rd most played class (after Scout and Engineer) with 31 hours. In Battlefield games, I try to play medic as much as possible, but fully knowing the power of enemy medics, will sometimes play assault so that i can newb tube a group of mass healing medics. Ahh, that's so satisfying...

I'm currently playing Rift and Brink as well- in Rift, I'm a cleric who's focus is staying alive and healing.

Whenever the people need a medic, I'm usually the one to go for it.

My Medics

Killzone 3: Medic doubles as the tank class, making him much more popular
Fat Princess: The Priest who heals people, then converts to Satan worship and sucks souls

Always pisses me off when we medics don't get the respect we deserve.

"Oh what?! You're just gonna push me off the teleporter? What, you think you're more important than the guy who keeps everyone alive? Oh, you're dying now and you want me to heal you? Sorry, I have better things to do than ensuring that you live to be an asshole another day."

I'm not so much a healer / medic, but I'm much more a the support character that everyone relies on when a situation gets out of hand.

I always have some sort of defence strategy that allows people that take cover near me when they're in trouble. Like playing the hunter in WoW, a support champion in LoL, an engineer in KZ3 and BF games.

I favour range, speed and crowd control skills.

Medical classes are always poorly designed. Why should my damage/defensive capabilities suffer just because I can heal someone? The solution to such poor design is simple, reduce the effective health gain on the self. Balance smartly then people will want to play those jobs.

When I play the heavy, there's no medics. When I play the medic, there's no one with enough brains to make use of my awesome healing skills. =/

Lol, I love playing the medic, except when your team is full of morons. I once tried to heal a pyro who had like 3 hp and was spamming the medic button. I followed him all the way across the map (he never actually stopped to see that I was mere inches from healing him), only for him to get hit my a turret around the corner, leaving me standing in the center of the enemy base. Alone...

Moral of the story kids, if you want a medic to help you, met him halfway.

Medic is my second most-played class in TF2 after the Spy.

I'll often go Medic in TF2 simply because nobody else will. It can be very rewarding ubering a Demoman that proceeds to utterly wreck the enemy's sentry nest or kritzing a Soldier and watching him crocket half the enemy team.

It can be frustrating if the team you're on is particularly inept though. Hey Heavy, I'm not your personal *****. I'm going to try and heal everyone, not just your fat butt. Hey Pyro, just because you're getting healed doesn't mean you can survive charging a level 3 sentry without an uber. Hey everyone, don't ignore the Scout that just flanked us. He can two-shot me with his Scattergun, you know.

Back when I played Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory I would often go Medic as well. Not only could I keep friendlies alive, but I could also really dish out the pain.

MP-40 + health regen + adrenaline = one man ass-kicking machine.

My main choice on most games is 'medic'.

I simply love the team-mate management and prioritising that often comes with the role.

I always have a healer class in MMO's, but I don't like being the medic in FPS's. There's a lot of skill to healing in MMO's, I like it, specifically Monks in Guild Wars and Priests (currently) in WoW. I like having the power to turn a fight around, and the power to let anyone that annoys me die. Although I do get annoyed sometimes when the enemy realises that and zergs me, and my team aren't clever enough to realise healers need support occasionally too.

I'm almost always a medic in Killing Floor until the last wave. I heal people obsessively plus the medic gets great perks.

I love being a medic in battlefield 2.

As a sidenote, I was very relieved when this was about games. At first I was concerned that medical students couldn't spell "where" correctly....

MEDICS REPRESENT!!

But seriously, I enjoy playing a Medic, no matter what game has Medics. And I do a damn good job at it, too. Except when the team is sucking. And, in that case, more points for healing and reviving people.

Medic here!
I enjoy playing a Medic for multiple reasons.
For one being a Medic makes you actually necessary to the teams success, which makes me feel better about myself!
That and you usually don't have to aim as a Medic. =D
