Looks like I'm to write the intro for Jess, Jan and Cokesy...

Jess sprinted down the road. If she was fast enough, she could pick up something to eat from Frank's shop and still be in time for school. She entered the shop at high speed, and spoke loudly to the dozing Frank.

"Hey! Hey, Frank!" The slumbering man shifted, "Can I get some gum?"

As the shopkeeper began to move, Jess saw Jon and Cokesy outside.

"Hey guys, hang about a minute!" she called, and in answer to Cokesy's look, she added, "Come on, we won't be that late..."

Frank was rudely awaken by Jess. She was a nice girl, with red hair and she was fairly tall, and has been to his shop asking for various treats on different occasions. She was also, annoyingly, a schoolgirl, which meant that she would need to be in school early. So she comes round his store early.

"Huh, gum? Yeah sure, two secs." he said as he let the cashier and went over to the shelf at the other end of the shop, retrieved some gum from the top of the sweet shelf and strolled back.

"That'll be 70p please."

I won't be here until saturday, so can someone else post for me?

Jon sat down on a brick wall outside the shop, waiting for Jess. He shuffled around uneasily as Cokesy sat down next to him.

"So what's first?" he asked, brushing his hair back into it's correct position with his hand.

"Er..." Jon reached into his bag, ruffling through a variety of papers until he had found a timetable. Following the rows and columns along he found the lesson. "Maths." A groan, in stereo, from the students. "I freaking hate maths..."

Cokesy started staring at him. "As if you don't tell everyone enough?"

Jon gave him a cold look. "It's true though!"

"Yeah, sure," said Jess, producing said money, then "Thanks!" as she dashed out the door to catch her friends.

She arrived in time to hear their discussion, and said "I can't see why. It's just following a load of rules, isn't it?"

A dark shadow fell across a dark piano, the hammers moving furiously. Faster, and faster, and faster, and faster, faster than anyone had ever thought possible. As quickly as it had begun, the chaos stopped. In its place was a simple melody, weaving tales of sadness and regret.

Twenty minutes later, a gifted pianist sat slumped against a wall crying. He silently stared at his hands, his wondrous hands, a gift his mother had always called them. Sometimes he wished he was dead - along with his beloved wife. He could hardly bear to hear her name. Almost everything reminded him of her.

Anger overtook Tyr then, and he picked up the nearest object (A bible) and threw it against the wall. He tried (unsuccessfully) to calm himself. But it was no hope.

He staggered into his bathroom, and pulled a small bottle out of the medicine cabinet. He swallowed two small pills, and left the world behind.

<spoiler=OOC>I hope that's depressing enough.

Marcus sat at on a bar stool in his tavern with the morning paper in his hands, he was sipping a cup of Irish coffee, as he always did in the morning. He had watched Jonnie off as he had done since he was in elementary school, and was now relaxing until it was time to open the bar. He sighed to himself as he scanned over the headlines, wars in far off places, murders in distant cities, drug problems in Mexico, but nothing in Briarwatch, nothing dangerous ever happened in Briarwatch, and that's the way he liked it. Marcus took another sip of his coffee and continued reading.

I just want to mention that even thaugh our story has already started, the number of players is still somewhat sub optimal if we want the game to be long and interesting.
Therfore, it is still possible to join the game, if you wish.

Your character does not come out of nowhere, of course. Think of the new characters as previously unimportant extras who suddenly get to step into the major character's limelight as an active part in the drama.
They were alwayes in Briarwatch, just not in the story.

In short, new players are wellcome. You can't have to many guys playing a game like that.

------------------------------------------------------

That's it with my interruptions for now.
Feel free to continue exploring the feel of your characters, interact with each other, etcetra etcetra.

He sigh, tyr must be depressing again this morning like the others, Richard was walking downstairs and started to cook breakfast for himself. He wonder what he should do today as he started to make pancakes.

Jon turned to Jess as she exited the shop. "That's the thing. So many rules and so little time to remember them!"

Jon and Cokesy hopped off of the wall and began walking with Jess.

"You always think you've learned something, and then it's all wrong." He was met with a slow nod from Cokesy and an unsympathetic sigh from Jess. "Think about it. Last week, it was circles. All sorts to do with pie and radios." "Pi and radians," corrected Jess. "See! Right there! Cokesy knows what I'm on about."

Their walk contained the same drivel the whole way to school. Jon would complain about Maths, uncaring of the other lessons, and Jess would correct him at every turn.

For a moment, Jon paused in his daily anti-maths rant, and Jess interrupted him, saying "Look, we know you hate maths. What about things you do like? If we stay on a happy topic, I might be able to keep in a good mood"

"He likes you" blurted Cokesy before Jon could reply. His eyes were incredulous and Cokesy looked quickly away. Jess said nothing but smiled nervously.
They walked on in a silence penetrated only by their footsteps.
"Sorry" muttered Cokesy. Jon's response was lost in a gust of wind.
"What are you guys doing tonight?" asked Cokesy in an attempt to rekindle the conversation he'd single-handedly destroyed.

Welcome to Awkwardtown.
Population: You three!

Jon's mind entered into itself and his eyes twitched. Much as a turtle recoils into it's shell for protection, Jon's mind did the same. Though probably as a countermeasure to avoid punching Cokesy's teeth through his skull. The others may have continued the conversation further.

He shook his head and tried to get his bearings. He did catch the last sentence of the conversation they had gotten to though. "Er... Work. My dad's gotten it into his head that I'm going into his line of work..."

"And why wouldn't you? It's a decent enough job. And I bet the pay's good."

The reached school shortly after, though Jon might have needed to shake this conversation off of himself.

"What?" asked Jess, confused, then she saw Jon's face, "Oh. Uh, thanks" she smiled awkwardly, but could think of nothing else to say. Evidently, neither could Jon, and the group were silent till Cokesy ask a question.

"Well, I don't think I got anything planned," she said in reply, "And I don't get any urgent homework today, so I guess I'm free all day. What about you?"

I think the contents of this post happen at about the same time as Revolverwolf's last post

Do you all wish to play through school or something or do you want to move forward? If you do want to play your school day, try to focus on contributing to the story through carefully chosen scenes.

I vote to skip over school-time, cos it ain't the most dramatic of times

Also, with this post, where it is doesn't matter, so I'll edit the location if we decide to stay in school

After school, the kids streamed out of the building. Jess and Jon lived near each other, and they often walked to and from school together, so Jess waited until less people around

"Hey, Jon," she asked, "Y'know what Coksey said? Was that true, or was he just being a dick?"

Back again to nag everybody about things that you probably don't think that matter. You will have to excuse me about that. This is my first RPG here in The Escapist, or, indeed, in any forum outside of Israel. I do not know what is more or less common here, so I am, you know, investigating in order to improve.

The way I see it now, both ThreeWords(Will?) and RevolverWolf(Kris?) are adult males in the real world. And it seems, at least from my POV, that thre is at least some attempt from both of you to create a romance story between your characters, who are a boy and a girl.

This is lovely, really. I think there is no purer, more beutiful, or more challenging form of role playing then role playing love.

Make sure you are totally comfortable with that first, thaugh. I know at least here in Israeli RP forums many players often are. Make sure that you are comfortable and MATURE about it. I do not think I need to talk here about how horrible it looks when two guys create their lesbian characters and forge a love story in four posts so that they will be able to create good porn and the whole game degrades into sex and stuff.

......................

Look, I am kind of tired now, can't really organize my thaughts, can't write well at all. Long story short: I really really like where all of this is going and I think it will be wonderful to have romance in this game(It is a source of much drama, after all), as long as we all do it well.

Okay?

Richard went outside and look around, seeing the town and closing his eyes a bit due to the bright light. He been coup up to long in the house and needed fresh air as he started to walk out. He hope no one try to talk to him as he didn't like many people here. They think he a "redneck" since he is a hunter, but someone has to bring in food that isn't fill with who knows what from other places. He continue his walk throughout the town, thinking to himself.

My vote goes for skipping the school hours. It'll probably get closed after the first werewolf attack anyway.

Don't worry about the relationship part of the characters though. We'll keep it proper.

He had been dreading something like this. He'd been trying to forge the perfect answer, that went somewhere along the lines of 'I like you, but not in that way,' all day. He failed. Badly. What he actually said was a stuttering mess of "Uh. Kinda. Sort of..." He wasn't supposed to stutter. Jon isn't the stuttering type of guy. He knows the answer then blurts it out without a thought. So why was he thinking so much about this?

In truth, he could have liked Jess in that way. But never had he tried to find out. He choked out an addition to his un-'Jon'-ish stutter. "I don't know. Cokesy is always being a dick." There we go. Something much more 'Jon'.

"Why do you ask?"

Jess sighed inwardly. Jon was so much nicer when he wasn't trying to be 'cool'. She would prefer it, she knew, if he would just come out and be himself, not what he thought he had to be

"I wanted to know from you," Jess replied with an embarrassed half-smile. She looked away, "Look, I -" she hesitated, "If you do like me, I don't mind. You don't have to be all 'cool' about it"

Frank heard a bell sound in the distance. School was over, peak time had arrived. "Right, where are the stored sweets." he mumbled, scrolling about in the various cupboards and boxes in the back of the store.

"Right, now for the crips, sandiches, ice cream- that's probably in the fridge- yup. I think I'm done then." he declared with satisfaction before sitting down in the revolving chair behind the cashier and looking up at the surveillence TV.

"Oh, that's just boring, let's go to ITV1." as he reached for the remote.
