The Inquisitor dusted himself off. "Traitor or not, assulting a member of the Ordo Hereticus is punishable by death. Good work there Gremlin. Let us just hope that this was the last of this situation." The Inquisitor and the pilot exited the room. Rain locked the door behind him.
"I will note what happened to Zen and Brother Johnathan. They need to keep up to date."

Gremlin shook his head. Killion had gone mad. He had been a threat, a liability. Gremlin assured himself he'd done the right thing. But he still wasn't sure. "Ah, not a good time for guilt" he muttered. Still, Rain seemed to appreciate being saved... a bit. Hard to tell with a near-emotionless Inquisitor like Rain. He went to his quarters and began cleaning his pistol.

Verendus was still in the hold, puffing slowly on a cigar. Word had reached him of Killion's demise. He was beginning to wonder who was going to kill him first, the lunatic in charge or the lunatic on the loose. He turned to Wolvaroo, the only man he could really trust right now, he didn't have the brains to go around killing and sabotaging. Laughing to himself, he said
"Give me a pit of Greenskins any day, Wolvaroo, at least you know who the enemy is, right?" Wolvaroo nodded.
"Dere's two fings I wanna know," He started, but Verendus interrupted him.
"Two?! Could it be..?"
Wolvaroo scratched his head.
"Err, Verendud.. Vered.. Boss, what you mean? I din't finish talkin'.."
"Everyone has been looking for one killer, but what if there's two? Working together! One could of distracted whoever was in the nav room while the other planted the device! Verendus explained. "I could be wrong, but its better to investigate than sit here waiting to die, c'mon Wolvaroo, lets check out everyone's bunks and quarters, someone's bound to have slipped up, and left something incriminating," he said, stubbing out his cigar and holstering a pistol. He and Wolvaroo made for the officers quarters..

Larenxis followed Pie and caught up with him quickly. "I will not accept your allegations! I have no motive, and several reasons NOT to do such a foul thing. There is nothing to gain!" he stated to Pie, grabbing him by the shoulders and spinning him around. He lowered his voice and said, "Do not question my loyalty again." His lips were sneering, but he slowly returned to his calm, blank face. With one last look at Pie he turned and went to the bridge.

While trudging along with Verendus, an idea came upon Wolvaroo. A seldom happening at best.

"Wud if dat Demun made'um do it? Like Zen makes 'Olvaroo do stuff."

OOC: Thanks for letting me shoot someone btw Galt. I feel like a main character now!

Gremlin was sitting cross legged in a shadowed corner, cleaning his pistol and burner, checking his knife was sharp, generally maintaining his gear. He saw Verendus stride purposefully past, followed by the loping Wolvaroo. Hurriedly he put away his cleaning equipment, re-sheathed the knife, slung the burner over his back and holstered his pistol, before getting up and jogging after them.

Catching up he called "Oi! You two? S'goin on?"

OOC: The character is a man, PurpleRain, even if I'm not.
OOC: Whoops. I didn't even realsie I was writing that.

I can't believe I had let Killion get the better of me. How did I end up in that position? Gah, I feel pathetic. I just hope Gremlin doesn't go around boasting to the other soldiers and drunks of how he saved that Inquisitor. I don't think I could stand the drunken louts moaking me for the rest of the journey. I feel ashamed. I'll tighten the chains around my leg as punishment to the Emperor of my mistake to follow out simple orders.

Verendus considered Wolvaroo's idea for a moment. It was certainly plausible, although the demon had been secured during the sabotage influence, although if it could make its influence remain..
"I don't know Wolvaroo, I'd rather not go near it.. but its worth a look," he said scratching his chin. He stopped as Gremlin called to them, and he secretly motioned to Wolvaroo to stay quiet. He wasn't sure he could trust Gremlin.
"Nothing much Gremlin, just keeping busy," he lied.
He started to think over what he had contemplated earlier. It was no secret Gremlin hated Psykers, and a Psyker was the first victim. He was also one of the main offenders in more than one lynching. And a bomb could have easily been made from spare parts and weapon gubbins that he had for his sentinal. And he was a drinker. People do crazy things when they're drunk. Verendus made up his mind. He pulled his laspistol and aimed it squarely at Gremlin.
"Im placing you under arrest for multiple murders and sabotage, Gremlin! Wolvaroo, secure the Sergeant, immediately!" he shouted. Wolvaroo advanced on Gremlin..

*Galt enters the hall, looking for Gremlin.*

"Ah, so you're the one who put old Rain in his place. If I could I'd buy you a drink!"

*Galt sees the confrontation, he doesn't need anymore dead, especially not someone he could trust. He grabbed his pistol and his Inquisitorial seal.*

"What the hell is this? Verendus, lower your weapon, I don't know what you're trying to do but I won't let you go around making citizen's arrests here! If you kill one of us, Zen will have you out that airlock faster than you can say the Emperor's Benediction."

*Galt turns to face Wolvaroo, the Ogryn seems puzzled.*

"Herh...da flowy robes sez no go, Boss!"

Gremlin raised his hands. "easy, Verendus" he said "c'mon man, we don't need to be picking fights without any basis. You kill me, you'll be killed yourself. Does my death really mean more to you than your own life?"

He glanced to Galt, thanked the emperor for his timing, and made a mental note to think more highly of Inquisitors in future.

OCC-I'm surprised that there have been so many posts; people are much more involved this time. Perhaps more people like warhammer and can relate to it better.

OOC: there are also a few more people and characters that are actually paying attention methinks. Last time there were like 5 to start with. But yeah, I think the 40K universe feels a bit more brutal and desperate and seems to fit a bit more.

OOC: I think it's because the 40k universe is already very gritty, very paranoid, and very violent...it's easy to add a whodoneit-style roleplay to it.

lol as an aside, next time around I would definitely not choose a Daemonhost as my character; There is little for me to do while all the action occurs on the rest of the ship.
