OOC: lol the benefits of being a warpspawn never cease. Thank you Galt for letting me continue to exist.

"As I said before, Gremlin, this is mutually beneficial. Now stop arguing!"

Gremlin silently convulsed with pain, as the Delinquent sent energy surging through all of his nerve endings. After a few tormenting seconds, the daemon stopped.

"Like I told you, Gremlin, I am a part of you now...argue again, and I increase the pain. We are going to see the pilot. If we keep going the way we're going, many more 'innocent' lives will be lost. Follow me, and you might just be able to survive."

Gremlin grumbled, still wincing at the pain. "Hmph. Fine, daemon, but you better not get me killed!" he glanced around to make sure no-one was still watching, and slipped out of the room. breaking into a steady lope, he made for the bridge.

On the bridge, Ophelia was leaning over the control panels. She did not hear the door slide open, or see gremlin blend into the shadows at the back of the bridge.

"Alright Daemon" thought Gremlin "What's the plan? And remember, nothing too incriminating!"

"Tell her to reverse course. The enemy is lying in wait near our destination. If we keep to our current course, we all die."

"Who the hell is gremlin talking to?" said hellspawn, as he saw Gremlin leave the room. "Something tells me the death of one nutjob has brought about the birth of another."

OOC: bearing in mind Ophelia hasn't been seen for a while, I'm going to control her here. If anyone objects, I'll happily change it back. And Irish, this is so going to get me lynched...

Gremlin nodded, and quietly stepped forward, behind Ophelia. "The inquisitors have ordered to reverse course" he said suddenly, making her jump. She glanced up, and shook her head. "Yeah right. If they wanted an order carried out, they'd tell me, not send a grunt."

Gremlin cracked a small smile, and leant down so his face was level with Ophelia's. His eyes flashed pure black, and his voice became more gutteral. "Arguing right now, would be a very bad idea, my dear" he growled "now be a good little girl and turn this ship around, blame it on a technical malfunction. And if you speak a word of this to anyone, my daemon friend here will introduce you to a world of pain the likes of which humanity has no hope of reproducing. Are we clear?" Ophelia, now white in the face, nodded. "Good. Keep quiet about this and you might survive." nodded Gremlin in satisfaction, his eyes returning to normal. As Ophelia set about changing course, Gremlin headed for the barracks. By the time the ship lurched due to the course change, he was lying on his bunk. "How was that, daemon?" he muttered.

OOC: Gremlin.....I am speechless. You've made this Daemon cry. And sorry about the possibilty of lynching. I just needed to move this along, and you seemed like a team player.

"I'm impressed, man-thing. I knew that there must be a reason they call you 'Gremlin', and now I see it. You may have a place in the court of Lord T. Now quickly, to the hold. There are some things we need to be rid of...and the flamer of the Singing Gremlin wouldn't hurt matters either."

OO(Dead)C: Irish and Gremlin: very cool. So cool I broke my "no beyond the grave messages" rule to congratulate you. While I'm back from the dead, thanks for the GMing Galt. It was fun and I understand that I had to die. Perhaps going a psyker was not the best idea...

OOC: well, likely lynching aside, it is rather cool, no? I like the approval we're getting :) Gonna be out for two nights, alas... but then I think Galt will be away too so the story shouldn't go without me... if it has to, Irish can control me, makes sense.

"That isn't exactly going to be subtle" murmured Gremlin, as he got up, and headed for the hold. "What did you have in mind?"

As the new daemonic symbiote scampered out of the pilot?s deck. Rain droned on in the mess hall. As Kalidian kept a drowsy eye over the assembled crew, Rain paced back and forth.

??as demonstrated by recent actions, martial law is the only alternative we still possess. Ophelia and Zen both failed to guarantee this ship?s safety. I now take it upon myself to lead this ship by the Emperor?s grace.?

Gremlin slunk into the room, trying to hide behind the group. Rain fortunately had his back turned.

?Though beset by mechanical failures and heretical actions, our mission is still salvageable, and your salvation still possible.? With this he turned around to the group. His augmented eyes scanning over the few soldiers still left among the living.

A quick glance towards Gremlin revealed something disturbing, something he wasn?t sure he could identify, but malignance seemed to radiate from him. Pie?s normal slouch seemed more pronounced as of late, as if a mirror of the ship?s current spiritual condition, something Kalidian would be sure to rectify with due haste. Hellspawn?s arm whirred with it?s mechanical breathes, his demeanor seemed detached and relaxed. Finally, his slow procession brought him to Inglis.

Inlgis disturbed Rain the most. His face seemed to always be obscured by that deathly mask. His eyes, disfigured by the smoked green lenses, still retained some of the rigidity they gained on Krieg. Rain knew just what horrors had been visited upon Inglis? world. Cities undergoing decade long purges, children never able to show their face for fear of the ever-present toxins of war. Rain suspected it might have fostered resentment in the Imperial cause but never thought he?d encounter it. Now with most of the crew dead, and many killed by toxins, his only course of action was made clear.

As he reached the end, he continued his speech.

?But yet, I?ve judged some among you to be unworthy of this chance at salvation, you?re zeal in trying to save your own lives has been lacking. I hope to the Emperor that this will serve as an example to you misguided souls.?

Rain drew his pistol and brought it up to Inglis? head. A muffled prayer was the only thing heard through the mask before Rain fired. The body grotesquely stood upright for several seconds, the iron will of Inglis? upbringing unwilling to admit death.

"This is so." Rain said as he turned his back to witness Gremlin slinking into the room.

"Gremlin! Where have you been?"

Kalidian looked away from Inglis' corpse as Gremlin slunk into a corner of the room, something had changed in the convict, Kalidian was sure of it, but what it was he couldn't tell. Kalidian leaned over to Rain and spoke quietly to him.

"We should confine them all to their quarters and question them separately. The only ones who should spill blood now should be us, Rain, and it should be the blood of the traitor. We can barely afford more foolish lynchings."

OOC: Thanks for the praise, Saskwach. Hopefully you have a better armor save in the next life.

The Delinquent cackled inside the mind of Gremlin. The resolve of the sentinel pilot had seemingly disappeared altogether, allowing the Daemon to assume full control. He forced himself to calm down; a careless slip-up at this stage would result in him being sent back to his disappointed Lord, and the success of the enemy.

"Sorry, sir. I needed to go to the mess hall. Without Larenxis to make me a sandwich anymore, I had to settle for the food on board. Then I ran a diagnostic check on the Gremlin...it would be just my luck to have a malfunction if we ever needed her firepower."

Gremlin tripped over the still-smoldering corpse of Inglis, drawing his attention downwards.

"Another one? Should I send for the servitors to come and clean this mess up?"

"No, return to your bunk. Kalidian and myself will interview you one by one."

Rain looks down on Inglis's corpse.

"At least that should stop the gasing. The heritics might all be dead but we still need to make sure."

OOC: Sorry sanspec but I think Marines are out of the question. Their unflinching loyalty to the Imperium means they're immediately not guilty, plus they're far too hard in any kind of combat so would win hands-down against any normal humans.

IC: "So who do we 'interview' first, Rain?" asked Kalidian as he watched the convicts and crewmen slouch from the room.

Well, since I would assume I'm the most sane person in the ship, I would suggest myself."I'll let you think about it" said Hellspawn, about to walk down the stairs.

Pie said:
All this Death had made him tired, And hungry.
OOC: Haha. Dead bodies = hunger pains?

To Kalidian,
"I think we'll check with Ophilia on the course and latest intel for this ship. First we'll question HellSpawn. He's awefully calm about things and does have inbuilt biotics."

OOC: Feel free to ask any of the questions since I have uni for a bit later.
