You saw them at the O2? And you're seeing them @ Wembley on the 19th of June?I was at the show where that album was recorded. I freaking love Green Day and I don't care what anyone thinks about that. I say them play in london last week and I'll be seeing them in London again next year.
I don't know about that. Heavy Metal certainly changed my life, first metal album I heard was Are You Dead Yet - Children Of Bodom. And Painkiller - Judas Priest REALLY got me into metal, after hearing that I fully embraced the culture and everything that goes with being a die hard metalhead.SantoUno said:I don't mean to be that guy, but there is no way an album can change someone's life. Sure a single album can change your perspective on music and possibly even set your path in terms of playing in a band, but I doubt listening to an album will dramatically chagce your life.
Sadly I can't make a pic, too many that had some sort of influence on me.
Music really can change your life. I was all into clasic rock for the most part and then when i started getting into more metal music i started changing my style of clothes and going to shows and made freinds. I think that would constitute changing my life.Woodsey said:Music can't change your life. Sorry, but I won't accept it. It might change your opinion of music, but you're entire life?
No way.
You know, if I hadn't have bought that album I would be a no good white trash clone of everyone else. So I'll have to respectfully disagree with you.SantoUno said:I don't mean to be that guy, but there is no way an album can change someone's life. Did you ever listen to it in it's original state? The Albini mixes exist on the internet, I believe they were told they had to change it or it wouldn't be released.SonicKoala said:Definitely "In Utero" by Nirvana - I remember I wanted to buy Nevermind, but the record store didn't have it, so I got In Utero instead. I have never been so profoundly moved by an album - the sheer visceral energy and emotion contained in Cobain's songwriting was like nothing I'd ever heard before. It was that album that got me playing guitar, and my love for Nirvana led me to discover so much awesome music. Music is a very important part of my life, and I have "In Utero" to thank for that.
