I have to go with Mumford & Sons' album "Sigh No More". To me it's the perfect album. It strikes the right balance between melancholy and optimism. It's awesome folk rock, the harmonies are epic, Marcus' lead vocals are outstanding, the drums can be like a freight train driving through the album. To me it's one of the ultimate road albums, yet can be just as appreciated sitting in your room. They also incorporate the banjo without it sounding corny. There are songs on the album which just cause me goosebumps every time, which no other bands outside of the Metal genre have been able to do. It's easily my favorite album of the last couple of years. In fact I would place it in my top 3 albums of all time.

I'm really into the new (self titled) Bon Iver album at the moment. Really enjoyed the first and this one is just as good.

Also liking the sound of Wu Lyf - Go Tell Fire to the Mountain; Cults (self titled); Fucked Up - David Comes to Life; and the new Antlers album. Need to give them more listens but I had very positive first impressions on all

At this time it's Leveler- August Burns Red and Speak Now- Taylor Swift.
That has to be the best mix of albums of all time... ever. Well done sir, I am in awe.

OT: What Separates Me From You - A Day to Remember. Once again A Day to Remember cracks out an album with the perfect mix of heavy and soft. If angels cried music their tears would sound like this album.

Charon's Downhearted album. I've been listening to it a lot recently, and it's just perfect for now. I've also been listening to a lot of Carcass's Heartwork album, which has been one of my favorite albums since I first heard of it.

Fucking The Shape of Punk to Come by fucking Refused. If you haven't got that album and listened to it, then you're life deficient. Prog hardcore punk which shoves its message down your throat, telling you that you're a consumer whore who hasn't heard vitriolic creativity worth a damn. I'm not into any specific genre, but a fan of music and this album is a timeless masterpiece from one of the most creative forces of sound ever to be unleashed.

Oh, and I enjoyed August Burns Red new album Leveler. Metalcore that manages to sound fresh and energetic. Wicked album by a good band.

Oh...

And...

Testament The Gathering.

Thrash fucking metal at its finest. If you're a metal fan: it is a sin against nature, god and eternal cosmic forces to have not listened to this album.

Next up will be Portishead's Three :)

At this very moment it's Piano Magic's Ovations, which features Brendan Perry (of Dead Can Dance) on two guest spots.

Dirt by Alice in Chains the same as it has been for the past 8 years, oddly enough I'm comfy enough with the music I listen to to not need to find something new and popular to be my favourite album of all time to try and fit in.

Warpaint - The Fool

Incredibly beautiful, and very hypnotic, comes highly recommended.

Undeniably the best all female band in recent years.

I love Endgame from MegaDeth. Lots of great songs like 44 Minutes, This Day We Fight, and 1320.

But my all-time favorite album is undeniably Black by Metallica.

The newest album I bought it always my current favourite so, right now, that would be both 'England Keep My Bones' by Frank Turner and 'Welcome Home Armageddon' by Funeral For A Friend
In a few days, when it arrives, my new favourite will undoubtedly be 'David Comes To Life' by Fucked Up. I mean, have you heard the single?!
Other current favourites are InMe's Greatest Hits (yes I only got into them recently, I am ashamed) and 'New Junk Aesthetic' by Every Time I Die, purely because there's always an ETID album in my current favourites list... ETID are my gods

It's so easy for me to forget that this is over an hour long. It keeps up a momentum of great song after great song that I just cannot ever get tired of this album. It's The Flaming Lips' finest hour and ten minutes.
