Honestly most of these guesses people are making have all been linked to pokemon as if nobody on this thread has even played the games. But then again, I cant think of much either they havent covered.

The pray mantis has a unique shape of it's own, with it's long back and claw it grabs prey inbetween it's claws. Like I said much earlier, they could easily get away with a new pokemon with the same shape, they already have many pokemon that look hardly any different from the original.
I hadn't even noticed that! even as I was writing 'Kirinriki' I was reading it in my head it 'Kirinkiri' for some bizarre reason. Scary thing with that Pokemon is the fact there are now PRESCHOOLER trainers that you fight in the newest generation. How are kids THAT young going to see this Pokemon and NOT think it was a snack? At the international Pokemon league offices...someonehairy-ish said:

Personally...I wish to see a mosquito Pokemon. As a man from Minnesota, I find it a travesty to not see the (unofficial) state bird of my state represented. ESPECIALLY since there's been a Bug type attack called Leech Life since Gen 1!

OT: how's bout... Daddy long-legs? (Known, I think, in the US as crane flies, but we in the UK found that simple name inadequate for some bizarre reason)
