What annoys you most in Online Gaming?

For me, it's young children. You find them in CS:S, you find them in Halo 3, but I don't play those, so I mostly find them in TF2. But what really ticks me off is that I find children in Modern Warfare 2 of all games, and to find kids who from the sounds of their voices can only be about 12 years old in a game that in the UK has an 18 Certificate on it is simply not right.

And why do these children annoy me? Well, they have no idea of the appropriate volume to speak at, they try and order you around, they call everyone else n00bs and hackers, they tend to resort to using swear words and racial slurs at a speed faster than that at which Yahtzee speaks, and whenever they're doing badly, they try and blame every single person but themselves, often calling people on the other team Hackers when all they did was headshot them. It's really annoying.

On a more realistic and less nerdy note...Well yeah, it's probably still other people that fuck it up.

I hate people that don't have mikes.

I hate people who breathe constantly into their mikes.

I hate people who feel they have to tell everyone else how to play the game.

Other people are both the best and worst aspects of online gaming. Fortunately the worst offenders tend to congregate around FPS games, and instancing in the MMOs I play spare me from forced interaction with random jackasses.

Everything everything annoys me allow me to make a list

campers, people who exploit cheap tactics, people with faster reflexes than me, people with better aim than me, getting spawn-killeds, bad sports, my friends bragging about how godly they are right in front of me, watching someone play and perform better than, people who insult me over the internet because I perform badly, people who treat a simple Team Slayer match like the fucking Superbowl, the fact that I just can't strafe, my debilatating paulsy or something where I waggle the second stick back in forth while shooting at someone, the other team winning and cheering through they're mikes, little kids, grown men acting like little kids, weapon spamming, any and all one-hit kill weapons, skilled snipers, when the host quits, getting kicked (although on XBL this only happens in Left 4 Dead but a lot of times I haven't done anything wrong), overpowered vehicles, lack of balance.

Trash talkers, you know what im talking about, those people who feel the NEED to tell you consistantly who much better they are then you.

These can be separated into 3 categories

The aggressive one: The one who kills you and shouts OMG NOOB LOLZORZ HAHAHA WAT IZ THAT LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL YOU R TEH SUX0RZ!!1!!!!111!

The sarcastic/infuriating one: Every time he gets you he just consistently says, you could have got me, you idiot, do better.

The silent but strong types: You know the ones, say you are playing an FPS or RTS and get totally steamrolled by this one guy over and over again and no matter how much you say to him he never responds only to say "gg" at the end of the round.....thats just creppy

Those trash talkers and h4x0rs are what annoy me most

I'm an old WoW hand when I think online.
FPS wise, just hackers. If someone's really, really good? I love trying to bring them down. It challenged my creativity.
Of course, I don't play modwar, mostly just class based shooters.

I think what annoys me most of all are gamers who don't have the faintest idea what they're doing, don't have a capacity to learn, and when they inevitably get smashed because of it, whine 'til the cows come home.

The only game I play online with regularity is Street Fighter, so the only example I can provide is the one everyone knows:

I can't tell you how many times I've stomped a Flowchart Ken into the dirt with my Gen. Some players are just in it for fun and take loss well. Others... Don't. They flood my inbox with hate mail, blaming everything for their loss from non-existent lag to "cheap" moves, all the while conveniently ignoring their own lack of knowledge and skill.

Playing with inexperienced gamers doesn't really bug me, but if you're not even going to try to get better, don't complain when you lose.

I prefer it online. You can play with friends and such. But when you're given a leadership role and then nobody wants to listen to you because they think you're some kind of 'noob'(To of which they're not slow to shout at you before you've even done anything.)

I dislike Griefers. Racists. Sexists. Elitists who aren't 'elite'.(Real Elite elitists are understandable and not petty.) Hackers, glitchers, snipers who do all listed above.

i hate it when online play shortens the single player mode , kids playing m-rated games , trash talkers , lag issues , when a game ends mid game , people who have loud music in background , not having a mic is not a problem but the biggest problem with online play is a few dickheads who ruin the game for everyone ... stupid people , racist morons , getting kicked, people who nit pick , there are days when my reflexes are poor and die alot ...but most people online are good , i don't play online because i'm not really a social person ... and paying too much for internet doesn't help
