Learning to play a musical instrument is a good idea. Or indoor climbing, if you've got an artificial wall nearby. Come to think of it, you could learn parkour..

I had the same revelation a while ago. I started modeling tanks and even making my own. it can be kinda pricey getting all the paints but after that it's mostly just buying the kits for ten to twenty dollars

pornography excursion on the internet?

or if your life just happens to be nun-tastic or filled with exotic German women and/or lusty latin men (I don't judge),

read books, learn a programming language, invent a philosophy, start a cult, write poetry.

Fuck, write love poetry to exotic German women.

The world is your oyster, dude

Magic: The Gathering.

You'll need a starter deck, some dice, and someone to play with.

Unless human slavery/ prostitution are your only methods of finding a playing partner, you should be good.

Hiking, soccer, target practicing (with pellet rifles, bows, etc), play an instrument, watch plays, see local bands play, having fun with science(smoke bombs, gadgets, neat pranks and tricks), whittling, find used boxing equipment and work out, building models, collect things

there are al lot you can do without electronics but it wouldn't hurt to invest in a cheap ipod or mp3 player.

Um.... Music? Buy an instrument that appeals to you, and teach yourself to play it?

I got an electric guitar for about $50, and a few lesson books for another $20, now if I just had the spare time to teach myself...

Guitar, you could probably pick up a started electric guitar kit for about $100 at somewhere like musician's friend (USA only) or other places.

Plus it'll help you look cool, even if you cant play very well

Frisbee golf. You can get discs for about 10 ? a piece (I'm guessing even less in The US), and you don't even need many; especially to begin with. Even one multi-purpose one will suffice very well.

I"d say try out Magic: The Gathering. For $100, I say try getting some friends together, or find a local store that has "Friday night magic", and play drafts. They cost maybe $12, you get 3 packs, and you and usually 7 others sit around a table, opening the packs, taking a card out, and passing the rest around the table until everyone's packs all the cards are taken, then everyone makes a deck using said cards, after adding an appropriate amount of basic land which the store should provide, and you play some sort of tournament. It's a great and relatively cheap way to get into Magic, and if you find a store that supports FNM, they also give out 30-card half decks for free, and they're great for teaching you the basics of how to play, and the community, by and large, is pretty helpful.

If you've got any questions about Magic, I'm a judge myself, so feel free to throw me a PM.

Ofcourse, if TCG's aren't your thing, find out if your friends would be interested, and maybe try DnD, or buy some boardgames or what have you.

Find a group of friends and buy Settlers of Catan. If you get four people together, you can all pitch in and get the base game for only around $10 each. My friends and I got together weekly last summer to play Catan, and we had an absolute blast.
Damn that game is so much fun. Board games can be great D&D is another option and also Risk is a fun game.

Homebrewing. For roughly $100, you could get all of your equipment, a how-to book, and ingredients for your first batch of beer. Beyond the first batch, all of the equipment is reusable and each additional batch could be around $30, depending on the ingredient list and your experience with the hobby. It's great fun (if you like that sort of thing), and it'll turn you into a beer geek really quickly.

Oh yeah, and having a constant supply of a shitload of extra beer around is a really good way to make friends.

Pen and paper role-playing would be my first suggestion. You can buy rulebooks for cheap online, and a few systems can work with just one book, though even with 2 or 3, you'll be spending less than $100.

Some systems -

New World of Darkness
Mutants and Masterminds
Scion: Hero
Basic Role-playing - BRP
This is a good suggestion. I've been into pen and paper role-playing for ages, and it costs me so little (not a collector, unlike some friends which burn hundreds of dollars). If your google fu is strong, you can get whatever you need.

The d20 system gives you a lot to work with. Plenty of it is free on say, dnd wiki.

I'll also suggest liar's dice, all you need is about 5 dice per person and a cup each. During a black-out last night I played it with a few friends for an hour.
