No mention of InFamous 2's ending?
You go around committing mass murder, slaughtering billions of people on a whim, and you smile while you're doing it. The girl who was supposed to be the other good guy is right there with you, grinning as you reduce cities to smoking craters just to save a handful of people. That ending made me feel downright sick.
Evil Cole never smiled when doing the innocent slaughtering, that much I know for sure. If anything he felt a bit divided on the matter since he was forced in to his moral decision.
The real kicker is that it's just as emotionally impactful as the first inFAMOUS game's ending.
By the end of inFAMOUS we see Evil Cole after being ruthlessly beaten down by everything thrown his way being piled on to his already sickening moral alignment. He's completely fallen, absolutely bonkers now. But then there's the free roam kicker. He can still heal civilians, so it kind of tugs at you that he isn't completely receded in to a psychopath.
Come inFAMOUS 2 he doesn't act as evil at first, potentially setting up a Heel-Face turn. But if he keeps going down his Evil path all the dialogue starts getting this really disturbing context of Cole inevitably murdering everyone. And the ending just drops an emotional Atom bomb on the hole thing when you see Zeke.....God Damn that still breaks me down every time I see it.
Never forget, "Half as long, twice as bright."
