What are some of the deepest gaming moments?

Basicly I am asking what moments or moment in a specific game or games have you incountered that has touched you on a emotional or a Psychological level?

For me in the first Mass Effect when you talk to the reaper. I was blown out of the water at simply the encounter and it made me think of what really could be out there, in the deep space.

Also in Mass Effect when you can talk to the AI of the extinct race that was killed by the reapers. They both went hand and hand.

Like all the time in Heavy Rain.

That game gets inside you and makes you feel emotions you would never feel playing any other game.

Spoiler: More specifically (epic spoilers)

When your going through one of the challenges and have to kill a guy, you find out he has 2 doughters that he loves. Either kill him to help you find your son, or let him live and have a harder time.

And when your playing with your kids in the beginning. Its just such a warm and tender moment.

Also when I found Shaun, he was unconsious. So you had to try and revive him. I tried and tried, but nothing worked. For a while I was about to cry along with Ethan, but then Shaun woke up, and the feeling I felt was amazing.

1 more time when you first play as Madison, you wake up in an apartment. She can't sleep due to insomnia, so you go around and do this and that to try and get yourself tired. But when your doing stuff you see movement everywhere. And eventually you get attacked my intruders. I fought them off and got to the bathroom. In there one of them creeped up behind me and slit my throat. Right then Madison woke up, and realised it was just a dream.

I was sweating and shaking.

There were a crapload more, but I won't spoil them.

When the game prompted me to kill some innocent guy, and when I was tasked with killing myself to save my son at the end of the game were a few of the more memorable moments.

Also, the story of the serial killer was certainly an emotional thrill ride.

Although Bioshock 2 on the whole does not have nearly as good audio diaries, the story of Mark Meltzer really had an effect on me. It also helped that he had a fantastic voice actor.

I was also practically cheering the first time I defeated the Striders in Half-Life 2, but I think I might have actually shouted out loud when I stabbed Ganon in the face at the end of Ocarina of Time.

Play Drakengard (PS2) sometime, gameplay's a standard hack-n-slash affair, but the story, especially if you go for all five endings, is superb.

In KOTOR when you turn Bastila back to the light side and profess your love for her, that was pretty deep.
The same kind of thing in ME2 with Tali, when you build a relationship with her because of her awesome personality, not caring what she looks like.
Of course, one of my more WTF moments was in KOTOR when i discovered that i was Darth Revan.

I found Mass Effect 2 as a deep game but not as deep as the first. I think the first gave you more interesting lore and concentrated on story more than the second one.

Bioshock, no doubt. The audio tapes all have interesting tales to tell but your confrontation with Andrew Ryan is mind-blowing, and Fontaine's laugh when you give him control of the city is just plain creepy.

Fallout 3, of all things. The Pitt, specifically. When I had to decide what to do about the cure, I paused the game for about an hour trying to figure out which option was morally correct, then spent another hour or so desperately looking for a third option other than just walking away from the whole mess.
