Breakdown is an awesome game that pioneered the always through the character eyes fps. It also had a female lead that was freaking likable and need I say well dressed for the situation. Made in 2004 or 2005.

Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth another fps, atmosphere is laid on thick like with the original silent hill games.

I'd honestly say Fate Stay Night just for its story (its a visual novel) but good luck finding a legit copy.

Can't think of anything else, even though its my life's journey to endlessly search and play under appreciated gems.

Star Fox Assault
The most unappreciated StarFox game of all time. And one of the most hated for some reason. Review were not kind to this game. Or accurate now that I look back. They called it bland, which was weird considering the Star Fox series was never known for its complexity.

OP: I'll try and recommend some PC games since people seem to be ignoring that part that you typed up:

Two words. Indigo. Fucking. Prophecy. (Also known as Fahrenheit).

Three more words. Fuck. Heavy. Rain.

Indigo Prophecy was made by the same developers and had about 10 times more badass blended together with a creative creative story that can't be predicted on your first run through. Heavy Rain on the other hand was predictable if you've seen a thriller in the past 15 years. With kind of a lame catalyst to the story. (The DLC story was better.)

Seriously though, DAT GAME.

Word to the wise, GET A CONTROLLER FOR THAT GAME. You'll wanna hurt someone if you don't.

Another one. Alone in the Dark (2008) Fantastic Lovecraftian horror game with a uniquely awesome control scheme. The amount of environment interface is supreme. Name me 5 other games where you can kill possessed madmen with an aerosol can and a lighter, which then if you're a smart bastard, wrap double sided tape around that same aerosol can creating a makeshift sticky bomb, throw it at any enemy and shoot him and 6 other in a fiery blaze of glory.

All while recovering slowly from amnesia as the city of New York crumbles to what can only be described as the maws of hell taking it in.

Love that game. Works better with a controller, but mouse and keyboard work well enough.

Thirdly, Anachronox. Imagine Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly. Now imagine him with a beergut and ever more curmudgeonly. On one of the most unique sci-fi planets ever fathomed. End in a cliffhanger due to the developer planning on a sequel as this game didn't sell, but worth the playthrough nonetheless.

All available on GOG

Dry demeanor eh? Just curious do you mean like my voice is one consistent tone, because if it is then I'm already working on that.
Thanks for the constructive criticism, I'll definitely work on that stuff.
Like I said, I was thinking nature documentary. Or golf commentary. I mean no offense, of course. I don't like to address a camera or record my voice because I have my own foibles. But it does sound like you mean roughly the same thing and are working on it. I'll probably check out your stuff again. Always cool to see people improve.

I take no offense, I just checked my FTL videos, and yeah, I can hear the documentary thing, I can also hear it in every other, except a little less in later Mount and Blade videos(only because there isn't much left to explain), and Saint's Row the Third. Which was made after your advice so I should hope it had less of it.

I thought Neir was good, if somewhat baffling. The graphics were pretty awful but the music was awesome. The story was bizarre but I couldn't stop playing until I had finished it.
Yeah I was just about to mention Nier. I saw all the negative reviews and avoided it for awhile even though it looked interesting. One day I saw it for a decent price so I said screw it I'm buying it. I ended up loving the game so much. I have no clue why it gets such a negative reception.

The two cons I've seen reviews talk about are completely stupid if you ask me. The first one is the main character is ugly looking. Seriously?

The 2nd was complaints about the OPTIONAL side quests being tedious fetch tasks.
A lot of Nier's main story was fetch quests as well. That and optional sidequests being ALL fetch quests was a pretty bad mistake. Those quests were the only way to gain levels in the game without grinding on monsters. With those quests having no variation, it took the game down a couple of notches. Its still a decent game but the critics did have some points with it.
