What are the three best game storylines you know?

The Longest Journey (anyone else?)

I'm with you HoS, TLJ and Dreamfall are great stories.
But for all time favorites for me it's:
3) Final Fantasy 6 (the bad guy destroys civilization!)
2) Secret of Evermore (the butler did it, of course)
1) Zak McKracken amd the Alien Mindbenders (the game has a flying winnebago, just like Lonestar's!)

Pretty much anything from Bioware (yes, even the story from NWN 1.. it was spiffy)

Professor Layton and the Curious Village by far is my number one. Best DS game I've ever played, best story in gaming, and one of the best mystery stories I've heard in my entire life.

BioShock 1, not 2, because it actually got me interested in Ayn Rand and her philosophy. The second one was good, but no where near as good.

And 3rd would be Bad Company. It was a good game with a good sense of humor, and I like that.

Gundam (yeah, I know it's the anime's story, buit still...)
Yakuza
HEAVY RAIN!!!!!!!!!!

The ones that almost made it:
Valkyria Chronicles (once I ignored Alesha and what happened to Faldio)
Valkyrie Profile
Infamous

The gaming schedule is to play Persona 3 on the PSP this summer, followed by Persona 4 via emulator this fall. Perhaps one of those will make it on the list.

EDIT: Not sure if this one qualifies, but I'll throw it in anyway. Fate/Stay Night. Archer is awesome.

It actually took me a few minutes to decide on the third. I really don't care about the stories in most games, but the stories in Chrono Trigger and Psychonauts are so good that they're half the reason to play them.
