Best
- Horizon: I think the game looks great. All the enemies and environments look fantastic and fun to explore.
- The Legend of Zelda: Kudos to Nintendo for, apparently, evolving the series. Also, the art style reminds me of a grownup Wind Waker, so that is a plus.
- Titanfall 2: The MP trailer looks like a lot of fun. I like the tone of the SP trailer, although it raises some disturbing issues with the MP content.
Disappointing/Bad:
- Days Gone: It looked interesting in trailer form, but once they showed the game (and it turned out to be yet another zombie apocalypse game), it became really boring. It looks like a mix of Last of Us, that tried to differentiate with hordes to zombies making them cheap and inconsequential (check the trailer, notice the hundreds of bullets he shots, also check that the horde in the demo keeps chasing him but dodges him when near, making it look closer to a gush of water made of corpses), with Dead Rising, but without the tongue-in-cheek cheesiness.
- Battlefield 1: After all the good will, seeing the game being played makes it look like yet another Battlefield with a slim WW 1 paint layer. Not that I am surprised, and the SP still has potential to be good, but the MP shown brought down the initial hype fast.
- Quake Champions: They took an influential single note, killing nazis game and turned it into one of the best SP campaigns in years (for a FPS) that still played a lot of homage to the source material. Then they took one of the more classic FPS of the history of video games, ripped it of the accumulated baggage of years of sequels and make it awesome again. Now it is time to revisit another of their beloved franchises, and they came up with: a MOBA. Because we all know the series is full of unique and interesting characters, like Quake Guy and Quake 2 Guy...
