What are Valves three big surprises?

Something about HL EP3 or HL3 to be released on X date + Valve Time.

This is probably most accurate. If I know Valve and their announcements, it'll likely be something entirely anticlimactic like this. Maybe some PS3 announcement or something in place of Manconomy at #3. But I'd say probably something L4D related, something TF2 related, and something console related. Almost certainly nothing HL related, and if anything Portal related, nothing of consequence.

Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong.

1. Gabe Newell will give an interview in which he will actually give out information rather than spend it continually praising his fellow Valvers over what they did in the past. ... But will still get some praising in regardless.

2. They added cellphones to Portal 1 for you to find that will give out a hidden message that will let a theoretical quantum physicist work out how to win a free copy of Portal 2 two days before its release date.

We naturally assume it has something to do with games, and not famous people who work there. You know like Gabe Newell throwing his hat into the ring for public office or something.

That said, I thik announcing that your going to make an annoucement is kind of ridiculous. Seems to me like they are generating hype for the sake of hype, since 3 annoucements from a company in a year is nothing all that unusual as far as I can tell. Heck, they might not even have anything planned, but figure there will be that many in 12 months so they might as well say this to get attention.
