My dad was a mechanic, but I don't know what he does now. I haven't seen or talked to him in 6 years. My mom is a waitress at 2 different restaurants. She lost her job, and now has to work 2 jobs just to make ends meet. :/
My stepdad is a housekeeping supervisor at a hotel.

As you can probably tell, none of them finished university.

My dad does rail work for the public transportation in Pittsburgh and he says winter sucks because the rails freeze and trees fall down and wires come off. It's a mess. But he has to actually go down there and direct traffic and tell everyone what to do.

My dad helps maintain the computer systems at the local college, and my mom's a speech-language pathologist. That means she helps people who have trouble speaking (speech impediments, autism, etc).

My mums boyfriend on the other hand, is a forklift truck driver. His brother-in-law owns a pub and cafe, his other brother is in the MI5 and his other brother in the head of IT at London university.
He got the short straw when it came to jobs, but at least I get computer things for cheap.

My dad owns a few small businesses (that sounds so suspicious), and my mum's a florist. Small example of how the shoemaker's son always goes barefoot. We always get the flowers that are a couple of days old because my mum refuses to sell flowers that are any less than fresh. So our house is often just full of dying flowers.

Mom's a library clerk and my dad is a trucker (or "long-distance driver"). In case those don't sound like they go together, well, they didn't.

Mum was a Radiologist. (yeah, what Cheery Lunatic's mother wants to be) She worked with some heavy equipment. (Why would you carry those? What? Difficult? Responsibility? Nah...)

My dad is an Operation Assistant. (I seriously can't come up with a better term for it.) He also writes books with teachings on Surgery.

My eldest sister has studied Biochemistry and is trying to find a good job.

My slightly younger sister (but who is still older than me, bla bla) is currently studying Multimedia.

And I'm studying Animation and Audio-Visual Arts and am currently looking for an internship.

My mum works with my grandmother in a furniture store (it's actually big)

Bonus since my grandfather is also employed: He's the head of a freight forwarding company.

Examples why I'm such a well rounded and mentaly stable individual.
