Im going as that guy who didn't dress up on halloween, as much as im sure i'd enjoy it I just don't have the money to spend creating a costume, even a simple one.

Given that it's my birthday tomorrow i'll still be going out though, it's kinda like everyone is celebrating with me except instead of giving me stuff they ask me for sweets.

Already done the dressing up thing when I went out last night.. not gonna do it again despite the fact I'm going to a Halloween party tomorrow. I'll just stick some wings on and say I'm a fairy or something..
With a bit of imagination.. mad hatter.. pic related http://bit.ly/vyHaLd (I'm the one with blue hair.. sadly it's not real ;-;)
I had to check your profile just now because I thought you were a girl I used to know, you look amazingly similar to her.

Awesome costume by the way, I want a top hat.
Thank you, I've had the top hat for ages and never had the opportunity to wear it, so I thought I might as put it to good use.

Also, happy birthday for tomorrow!

Cole MacGrath, Infamous 2 version this year. Everyone I know loves the concept. I only got the idea after some guys at gamestop said I looked like him over the summer

...are you for real?

That's just ridiculous. You're just that patriotic, huh? Can't be bothered to take part in anything at all foreign, even if it's fun?

I highly suggest getting over yourself. It makes life better in a number of ways.
It has nothing to do with patriotism. It has everything to do with simply not caring to celebrate holidays that are meaingless to me. I'd bet the majority of people who celebrate Halloween don't know what it's about.

I never said it was Australian or American either...

Also, you celebrate xmas under protest? Christmas is an amazing holiday filled with joy, family, and warmth.

What is happening to the world?
I don't celebrate christmas because its a religious holiday. I don't believe in their religion, why should I celebrate their holidays? Having said that, I do do the whole family thing and I make a point of not being a Scrooge about it.

Do you celebrate Chinese New Year? What about Australia Day? How about ANZAC day? Hanuku? Queen's Birthday? Labour Day? Independance day in any number of different countries (specifically NOT America)? What about Melbourne Cup day?

I would bet you don't celebrate any of those. Why? Because they aren't relevant to you. Same deal with me and xmas/halloween. I participate in xmas for the benefit of my family, I try to avoid Halloween as much as possible and I generally don't care about national holidays that aren't celebrated in my country.

Nothing.

I will be just playing games while ignoring my door when it's quite obvious that I'm not handing out candy.

I'm going to be dressed as a Bollywood dancer. I'd love to say it's because I'm creative, but in truth it's just because I happen to love wearing Indian high-collar shirts :p

I am going as a coffee shop revolutionary. Meaning essentially I'm donning a Che Guevera shirt, a soviet beret and walking around with a paper coffee cup and a copy of the Communist Manifesto. Hopefully I will be gettin' drunk and chatting up fly honeys.

Sadly, in my country Halloween has only become really popular in the last few years. When I was a kid, I don't remember others going trick or treating. Might have been fun but now I'm way too old for that.
I've also never went to a costume Halloween party. So I'll be myself on Halloween, that's scary enough.

My costume is pretty obscure, you've probably never heard of it. Costumes were cool before they sold out. [insert another hipster reference for people who don't get it yet]

I also have a pair of skinny jeans and Converse. It's kind of lame, but I didn't want to spend any time or money on a costume. I actually got the idea from posting an Escapist thread here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.319877-Halloween-costumes-for-the-broke-and-or-lazy#13058844], so thanks guys. :)
