Actually I have never played Oblivion but I just got an Xbox last month and isnt it for Xbox?
Any reccomendations?
If you have better than or equal to a Pentium 4 (3.0Ghz), 512Mb DDR1 RAM (133Mhz) and an ATi Radeon 9800 Pro, I recommend buying it for PC. The Xbox 360 version was by far the worst of the ports, when I saw it on a friends 360 I was shocked. It wasn't unplayable by ANY means, but you're so much better off playing it on PC, that set up managed to out preform my PS3 on Oblivion graphics wise. Yes that was my old rig I specced.

When buying it for PC, good luck, the GotY is overpriced everywhere. If you're on a tight budget you can go 360 for about £10 (GotY), but keep in mind this means no mods and non of the plug-ins (Horse armour etc...).

Not sure, but a beard appeared on my face when I first saw the trailer. I tried cutting it, but it just hissed at me and cut the shaver with a sword. That's my preparation.
I also seem to have acquired a vast collection of dragon head trophies and battle-axes. Perhaps I'm sleep walking.

Maybe find that European Oblivion mod that completely overhauls everything and makes an entirely new game.
It's called Nehrim if that helps. I haven't tried it yet since it copies a bunch of files from your Oblivion folder, and I don't want to mess with my modlist.
Meh. For some reason, Obscuro's overhaul got messed up, and I can reinstall my other mods, so I'll take the risk.

I'll give it a year for bugs to be sorted out and mods to make it a more modular and fuller experience than the programmers. Granted, it'll have to actually be good.

Touching up my modding skills so I won't have to kill any dragons :p

Also: thank you, captcha, for giving me accented letters.

I've purchased little barbells for my fingers. Excercises in order to avoid cramps for the disc melting bing.

Daggerfall and Arena are now freeware so that's something that might be of interest to ES enthusiasts.
There's also supposedly a graphics mod that was released this year. It updates the Daggerfall graphics to Oblivion graphics.

Started playing Demon Souls again (I quit after a few days of playing it last year), but I'm actually liking it. But I'm sure I'll soon get bored of dying in the far depths of some dungeon, losing all my hard earned souls and not being arsed to go back and get them!

Reinstalling and modding Morrowind.
May do some Oblivion on the side but otherwise; MORROWIND.

Playing the hell out of Oblivion. I don't think Gamefly is going to be getting it back any time soon.

Tried playing Daggerfall since I was first introduced to TES when Morrowind came out. Gave up after being killed by the tutorial rat 6 times in a row because I can't hit a damn thing with my sword.

Side note: Has the lip sync on the PS3 version of Oblivion GOTY always been desynced? REALLY bugs me when an NPC finishes flapping their gums before their dialog is even half finished.... Never noticed if it was desynced on the 360.

Getting ready to upgrade cpu and motherboard since my Q6600 is on the way out...my fault for running it at 3.6GHz all day everyday =3 oh and getting 3D vision kit since i've already purchased the rest of the gear needed for it. Other than that nothing.

Can't wait for Skyrim

None of the games I am waiting for are out early, so I'll be cracking out with Mass Effect 1-2, Fallout New Vegas, Reach and Borderlands for the next couple of months.

Then September will happen, my games will start arriving and I will vanish from the face of the Earth until New Years (possibly right up until Valentines day!)

Uh. I've been thinking about finishing some quests in Oblivion. I can't buy my fucking house in Skingrad because the fucking NPC had to fucking walk off the fucking bridge.

Yes, I mad. It's on xbawks too so I can't open the command console to fix it. WHY. WHY CAN'T YOU RESPAWN!?

I'm going to go into a sauna for a while then run out and roll around in the snow for a bit. Then wrestle a moose

erm...skyrim is the nordic place in elder scrolls isn't it? If not I'd feel a bit foolish, especially with me buying all that ice, and getting a sauna fitted, not to mention the moose hiring costs!
