My strategy is usually that I try finishing the story a game before buying the sequel. But Steam sales are just a thing made out of pure temptation... Luckily, I think I bought almost everything that I had on my wishlist, so I can finally start playing the stuff. But as I already wrote: There're sooo many games that I'm really interested in (going all the way back to PS2/SNES titles) that I have to prioritize.-Jak- said:Yea I personally learned my lesson with Steam and other retail outlets. To avoid buying games I can't see myself playing within the next 1-3 months tops. And while I haven't been able to dive into my Steam backlog with no gaming PC of my own yet. I finished almost all the last gen games on consoles I was interested in, between the PS3 and 360.Xerosch said:As to things I would like to play through at some point: My pile of shame is so immense that it's overwhelming sometimes.
I think is better to write my opinion like you did. More easier and to the point.Something Amyss said:I'm playing GTA V, DCU Online, The Crew, and Rebuild 3. I last beat The Crew, and am currently working on getting better cars/gear for MP.
Pros and cons? I've done GTA before, but....
DCU Online:
+Free.
+My friends will play.
+Superheroes!
-a lot of the creation options look plain awful, and that's on top of my issues with attire choices.
-game seems to lag pretty bad. As the designated healer, it's annoying to see my friends' health bars at full when trying to figure out who just said they needed healing, only to see they're all already dead.
-Not enough Booster Gold.
Rebuild 3:
+Massive improvement over prior games.
-ummm...chows down my tablet's battery?
The Crew:
+novelty of driving coat to coast, the distinct regions look distinct.
+You can beat the game solo with a starter car.
+lots of races, skills, etc.
+quite a bit of fun playing in a crew.
-really terrible game balance. While the game is beatable with a starter car, the game can outrun you even if you have triple the recommended specs.
-The story mode. Like, all of it.
-"Hey, Amy, we know you just spent two hours upgrading your car so it would have the best possible gear, but we want you to get into this really terrible vehicle to do some timed segment because reasons. That's right, sometimes we explain it, but often we really don't. Hope you don't mind."
-map size. It's cool at first, but there's little to justify it.
Did they? I don't know. My friends are all console players (well, the ones I play with most are), and so the number of MMO style games they might try is limited. So when they got PS4s, it was like, "hey, this is apparently still a thing, let's give it a shot!"SweetShark said:Also I didn't new DCU was still around. Didn't they said it was closing?
I just read in Wikia they just merge their servers, so it seems I was wrong. Sorry to cause a panic.Something Amyss said:Did they? I don't know.
