With my current degree scheme, History and International Relations, i'll probably get a job in the Civil Service. If im lucky, i'll be put onto the fast-track Civil Services scheme which helps you move up the career ladder quickly. Why? I want to work in the north west of England near my home, and have a good, regular income. Or, work for GCHQ, which would probably be quite a bit more interesting than civil services, as it is the government department which manages commications and intelligence, working above the security services.
However, if i wanted to work in that department i would have to move down south to Cirencester if i wanted a job there...It's a difficult choice.
I would also like to write a considerable body of creative writing. So far i've written about a dozen poems and about two short stories, hopefully over the course of my life i can add to that. It's fun, i feel i'm expressing myself and producing something, and it is something that, when i'm dead, the living can remember me by. I'm not really aiming to be published, but heck i'll roll with it if i ever do actually publish anything.
Somewhere along the lines i may marry and have some kids, i would like to have children. If i can leave behind a family, a sucessful career, seen many places across the world and left behind a body of creative writing which they can remember me by, then i think i will have lived a full and complete life by my books.
