Well, I was talking with a friend of mine a couple of days ago and this topic cropped up. After hearing him telling me all about his fears, (darkness, spiders) and me telling him mine(enclosed spaces) I though I'd like to know what your fear/s is/was. Do you have any? Or are you just a big manly man scared of nothing?

Edit - Jeez, you guys are just reminding me of all these other things I'm afraid of. THANKS A LOT *sarcasm*

Edit2 - Spiders seem to be the main one people are scared of, with a great suggestion to deal with them by

Spiders! Those things are the spawn of Satan himself! Also I am not a big fan of heights or snakes.

Heights, although i do not mind flying oddly enough.
It's not so much the falling that bothers me, but the hitting the ground ;P

That and snakes, certain insects and heights.

EDIT:

& Ebola!
You can have webcams put into your coffin so that people can make sure that you are dead. Alleviate your fears a tad bit. :p

And Ebola is nasty.

And also Bot flies. *shudders*

what really creeps me out or makes me very uncomfortable in Movies and such is the trope known as "traumatic haircut" as in losing your hair against your wil

I dont know why but its always made me squeaming/uncomfortable, especially if it falls out rather than be cut, and having it cut reminds me of rape

also, while it doesnt scare me..slavery, in fiction just I dont know It makes me uncomfortable

and spiders, thats the one bad thing about living alone, YOU have to deal with the fuckers (I once somhow removed ones legs with surgical precision..accidently with a phone book) thank god I have some heavy books

Wasps. They're not even big in England, but getting stung by one when i was about 3 gave me a phobia of them, which sucks. Apart from that, nothing else.

Now that's an interesting fear, and one that doesn't scare me so much as piss me off. I don't like being told what to do with my hair (damn school), and after your comment I realize how afraid I am of having my identity taken.

I'm afraid of heights. I'm a germaphobe but I'm not afraid of them. Just rather not touch dirty stuff. I guess feet fall under that category, too. Can't stand bare feet. Just keep them away from me, don't let them touch any of my stuff, and you won't lose the foot.

Some hydrophobia (water). Being buried alive, whether in earth or snow. That's all I can think of.

Yup, germaphobe sounds like me as well. Dirty stuff can go rot in hell as far as I'm concerned.

I think it wouldnt creep me out so much if I were a guy (also body horror in general I find scary)

but yeah I'd find it harder to watch in a movie than a rape scene

speaking of identity, ever seen face off? while the presmise is pretty rediculous, it still REALLY creeped me out, the way somone could totally violate you like that, similar way I feel about slavery

Uhh, screw that movie! Had a couple of nightmares for the next couple of days over that (I was WAY younger back then, but still) and the premise still sends shivers down my spine. Take another mans identity, and rob him of it in the process is a horrific idea that would probably drive me insane if it happened to me.

Spiders and heights are my main ones, large group situations also somewhat scare me, but not to the same degree (i'm uber shy but i man up every now and then).

Heights - anything above 5 meters straight up makes me dizzy.

Beyond that... uuuuh, I like to pretend that I DONT scream and run like a little girl when I see a moderatley sized spider... but really Im fooling no one.
