Are you still going to be a loyal fan?
Are you going to demand better security/
any thoughts of switching to other consoles?
Has your credit card information been stolen?
Are expecting, or demanding a compensation?

My only concern is whether this will drive Sony out of the console market. A world in which Microsoft and Nintendo are the only two console makers is not a world I want to live in!

1. Yes i'm still going to be a loyal PS3 fanboy, the only reason i'd ever want an Xbox is to play Limbo.

2. Damn right i want better security! In fairness, having to change all of my passwords every now and then is probably a healthy thing to do but i could've done without having to get a new credit card. That's not to say that i've had any money stolen but i'd prefer to take the precautionary measure.

3. Woo bring on the free stuff!! Also i'd really like to activate my PC copy of Portal 2 now thank you.

I'm still a fan of Sony. I like their exclusives. I'm not going to demand higher security because I'm pretty sure they learned that lesson. So far I've had no suspicious credit activity, so I don't need or expect compensation. I've been playing Portal 2 on my 360, so I really haven't even missed the PSN much.

While I haven't been affected by the PSN incident, I feel for Sony here. They had to have an ugly legal battle to defend their consoles from the danger of becoming a pirates hub and came out taking a lashing in terms of public opinion. Now this, which comes out of left field and may or may not be related in some way but certainly damages the already strained trust between company and consumer.

Sony has honestly done nothing to deserve this and the people attacking the company are actively hurting the community along with the Sony. End of the day, these guys have given me thousands of hours of entertainment and they have worked for years to give me lots more. My biggest concern now is with what will happen to Sony after this. I hope they can find a way to recover from this.

Loyal fan.

I never trusted their security anyway. Fortunately they provide prepaid cards at any number of local retailers, including Walmart and Target.

When PSN comes back up, I need to go buy another one - my current "Wallet" is down to about $0.85...

Despite the fact that I don't own a PS3, I still feel sorry for Sony and all their users. Hopefully they'll recover soon so us 360 users can go back to having flame wars PS3 users, but on level ground (without people going on about PSN issues, though I think PSN's reputation has been irreparably damaged).

I just wanna change my password.

Hopefully, their security gets better or something like that.

Hell, I don't know much about that stuff anyway. So, I shouldn't really be saying anything.

Yes, yes, no, no and yes but only because Sony has promised I'd get a month of PS+.

Of course it hasn't, XBLA has been hacked before and after far less time than PSN. Going unhacked for so long after getting the "unhackable" reputation that hackers love so very much to prove wrong is a pretty good achievement. It was a more thorough hack but it was probably down to that modder leaking all the information they needed not a week before.

Shit happens, happened to other companies, can still happen to other companies if you put enough effort in it, happens to people with computers on a daily basis.

I'm not bothered. They'll come back, get tougher security, put out great games and do alot for its community as thanks, and this will just become a distant memory.

I will still play my PS3, especially since I just bought a new once since my old one died.

I will use only prepaid cards on their store. Then again, that's all I used before, so nothing different there.

I already have a Wii, 360, Xbox, PS2 and GameCube. I don't need any other consoles.

A month free of PS+ should be interesting. Not really sure what to do with it.

My main concern would be that using their products could ruin my life. It seems like that has happened to a lot of people.

Yep.
I guess where I can.
Nope.
Nope.
I am not demanding it but by the sounds of it I am expecting SOny to give hand outs so people will quit QQing.

Sony has taken some stances that I do not agree with but it does not effect me or my relationship with their products personally. As such, I still support them as I am getting what I am paying for.

My feelings are, really don't care, The service is free, so two weeks away is really not a big deal for me. I know a lot of free services who have more downtime than sony, I used the time to play through MGS4 single player again. I wouldn't expect any compensation, but neither would I deny it.
I won't switch to THAT OTHER console, I have a PC that I use more than my PS3 anyway, but I feel sorry for Sony, it's not like it's particularly their fault, and I think the media attention isn't helping them.
I don't really buy the whole stolen credit card malarchy, but maybe I'm too laid back to give a s***

I've never really been a fan boy of any consel, videogames being main hobby, most of my life, i've always been a muiltsystem owner... I had an NES/Master system... i got a SNES and Genesis at the same time for Christimas once, (well not just ME, more like the family, but being the oldest kid i was kind of in charge of it...kind of. lol) Got Turbo Graphics 16 at some point...

I've owned every major gaming system too date with the sole exceptions of a commador 64, and a Neo Geo, oh yeah, and that sega handheld... what was it?

Anyways, i'm not a fanboy, just a fan of games.

Yes, i'll stick with Sony, I don't really bare them any ill will for being hacked, little miffed about how long they took to come clean... but *i'm* safe, and uneffected with new CC accounts and a renewed respect for online securaity. (i was getting a bit laxed.)

Yes, they need better security, that's a given. But, they aren't getting my CC numbers ever again. I'll buy stuff with game cards or PP CC's. I dont' care how safe they say it is, i'll take my own steps to be sure.

and while i don't demand it, free stuff is always cool.

Loyal fan. Loved the PS2, loved the PS3 (although not as much). They seemed to have learned their lesson now with security. Now let's only hope that their relation with the hackers doesn't get any worse (If even possible at this point).

I'm staying with it, the consoles play fine, the network going down is just a minor inconvenience.

I'm not one of those fools who will abandon the system simply because "omgz I cans nots plays da blak opz onlyne!!!!!!!!!!".

I already own a 360 and its still going to collect dust. I bought a PS3 for the awesome exclusives and those aren't going anywhere. Of course I want better security, Sony seems to be working on that one for me. I had my card cancelled before it was used by anyone else.
