When I lock a door, I have to test the handle 10 times, if I accidently do 11...I have to continue on to 20 times.
I do the same thing with my clothes, I hate changing clothes during the day. If I come home at 11 AM but I need to go out at 8 PM again then I will not get into something more comfortable.Zombie_Fish said:If I ever put on my shoes, I won't take them off for the rest of the day, even when I'm inside.
me too! :OMagnetoHydroDynamics said:I wash my hands way too often...
By all means, continue.Jharry5 said:I alphabetise all my games, DVD's and CD's.
I have to do the same thing with the palms of my hands - so if I pick something up that's too hot/cold, I have to have the other hand touch it in the same place. In fact, general symmetry is something I can get a little OCD-ish about...
When I'm nervous, I touch my nose and mouth.
I'll stop there, but there are others.
Oh, I can't stand open doors as well. They just annoy me, for some weird reason.woem said:I do the same thing with my clothes, I hate changing clothes during the day. I'm also pretty obsessive about closing doors. I can't stand open doors in the house.
Perhaps its just some sort of OCD which has centered around werewolf perceptions. Isn't The human mind fun!Michael_McCloud said:The most interesting of all, though, is that I get strange urges around the full moon. It doesn't matter whether or not I know it's the full moon, either. In fact, there have been times that I knew it was the full moon because of these urges. I start craving meat (particularly beef and game), particularly cooked rare. I... Er... I'm not getting into the second one. Thirdly, I have a compulsion to run. Nowhere in particular, just to run. Even stranger, this isn't a problem if I'm wearing silver. I'm well aware that it's all likely a bizarre coincidence, but still...
Okay...Charisma said:By all means, continue.Jharry5 said:I alphabetise all my games, DVD's and CD's.

Thank goodness! I thought I was the only one to do this!Jharry5 said:If I'm eating sweets like Fruit Pastelles, Skittles or things like that, I have to sort them by colour, then eat them systematically in order of preference.
Relatively the same thing for me, but its not for washing my hands, its for stupid stuff.Kif said:Same, I have hygiene based OCD. Essentially my OCD side and my sensible side have arguments that if they were vocalised would be similar to this:MagnetoHydroDynamics said:I wash my hands way too often...
OCD "Your hands are dirty, wash them."
Sensible "No they're not, I washed them 20 minutes ago and haven't done anything since, they're fine."
OCD "Okay, here's how it works... wash them now or I will repetatively bug you until you do."
Sensible "Fine, if it will shut you up."
And here I was thinking I was the only one to do that. It got to the stage where I couldn't eat them whilst out-and-about. XDGeek@Heart said:Thank goodness! I haven't eaten any fruit-flavoured sweets for ages though, I've been more addicted to chocolate recently.
Pretty much this, only not limited to the TV. If it's a game with levels, I won't be happy to leave the game on an odd number unless it's a multiple of 5, that would feel unfinished. In games like Fallout with skill point assignments, all skills are even or a multiple of 5.SmilingKitsune said:I always have the volume on my tv set to an even number or a multiple of five.
So five is fine, but seven is not etc.
