6.Rome Total War was the worst RTS I played

yup, I only play RTS games after I see tons of gameplay so I know that the games will be good, so all the RTS games I play are usually good, but Rome Total War was just bad, there were moments were soldiers wold rout because they lost 4 units, were I had to break my entire formation because the enemie AI wold only attack my cavelary, and moments of extreme stress, ex:

I was conquering Greece after destroying 3 armies and getting ready to conquer Sparta and another city from nowhere 5 new armies show up with a huge ammount of soldiers, after destroying those armies 3 or 4 more armies showed up.

I liked Medieval Total War better, but my laptop sucks so I can't try the next Total War titles.

Yea I still don't get why people down on Red Faction: Guerrilla. I just finished it after getting it for cheap at EB Games and while I will admit that the story is several miles past nonexistent, I haven't had that much fun for a long time.

OT: I don't know. Zelda is boring, is that unpopular enough. Actually I've never played it, I just thought I would say something controversial. Although I do get tired of people going on about how much better games used to be. They really weren't.

I hates zelda twilight princess (the only zelda game I ever attempted to play)

RFG "story" was dumb but I didnt find it boring or off-putting in anyway

BioWare and Obsidian don't make great games.
Bethesda has gone off a cliff since oblivion.
EA are a great company.
I really dislike Diablo yet I love Diablo 'clones'
The Wii and any motion controller on consoles in general are pointless gimmicks, just like 3D and need to GTFO
I prefer using my keyboard for racing games.

DNF was a great game, even if it was just from nostalgia
I prefer Mass Effect 2 way more then Mass Effect 1 but think neither are great games.

1) I love the CoD franchise and i think every game Infinity Ward make gets better with each one. My playtime is testament to that.

2) Nintendo are shit.

3) Wind Waker is the greatest Zelda game that has ever existed.

4) FF9 is better than 7

5) An mmo in the Mass Effect universe would be a fucking horrible disaster and i wish the idea would die.

6) Naughty Dog Studios and Valve are the last great AAA game studios that care about artistic integrity.

7) If companies would optimize their ports with some guts and balls, any game made for all platforms would look much better on PS3 then they do on Xbox.

Well, i'd repose;

1)yes a game, not a massive library. it leaves alot of stale areas that so many of these games are lapped up
2)well i did think it went without saying that this was only my opinion. i've played alot of hack n slash games that may as well be the same game with a different party dress on. same for shooters, so the only term i can think of is generic

All Rockstar games are all crap.
Most hack and slash are crap.
Most sandboxes are superfluous and are just there to pad out playtime.
Photo realism in the violence takes the fun out of the games.
All games that RELY on multiplayer as the main selling point that are not MMO's should not be made.
Everything exclusive to the 360 that is not an XBLA indie title, Mass Effect, or Tales of Vesperia is not worth playing.
The only Final Fantasy game I actually liked was XIII.

I love the concept of the WiiU. Nintendo pretty much told developers "It has every possible interface, HD graphics, and a second screen. What can't you do with it? Experiment and innovate to your hearts content." If they get a downloadable indie section worth a damn they *could* be an unstoppable innovation machine.

I wouldnt bother past medieval 2, they just became a bit broken, still good, but not excellent.
The reason im surprised is that Rome is my favorite in the series, it just seemes to get everything right, i finished it so many times.

3. the Nintendo 64 controller was the second worst gaming peripheral ever

4. It feels awkward to hold Dreamcast controllers, what with only one analogue stick and all (though it is still awesome)

5. Sonic was never really that great

6. Mass Effect 2 was a good game

7. Lost Planet 2 was a good game

8. Halo: Reach was the best in the franchise, because they got rid of Master Chief (who was getting really boring when he started talking a whole bunch)

9. 2D fighting games are still fun

10. League of Legends is good (and its free!)

11. any DLC that is above 10 US dollars can fuck right off (either its over-priced - yea I'm looking at YOU Call of Duty!- or it takes up way too much hard-drive space!)

12. Being able to customize your appearance, even if it means only using pre-made skins, is a really cool idea, and should be implemented more!

No way! I agree those franchises have gone downhill somewhat compared to their originals but they're still solid games if you ask me.

My unpopular thought is that Grand Theft Auto games are no fun to play at all. Going around on your own with the gun cheats on robbing and stealing is fun. The missions however are all boring and mind numbingly the same as the one before. I've never completed one.

1. I like Oblivion more than Morrowind.
2. I like Fallout 3 more than Fallout: New Vegas.
3. I intensively dislike SW:TOR and in my opinion it is simply WoW with Star Wars: The Clone Wars art-style.
4. I think open-world, sandbox games such as Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are better ROLE-PLAYING GAMES than linear, somewhat on-rails RPGs such as Dragon Age 1 and 2, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Jade Empire, The Witcher 1 and 2 and some more of those.
5. I believe story in RPGs is far less important than the ability to play roles (different types of characters).
6. I do not believe that there has ever been any MMORPG at all that deserved to have subscription fee, all MMORPGs released so far are of far lower quality than most singleplayer RPGs released so far.
7. I like Spore.
8. I liked the first three Harry Potter games.
9. I think most of the people complaining about how new games suck are blinded by nostalgia.
10. I think most of the people that complain about Oblivion and Fallout 3 being bad games are seriously blinded by nostalgia.
11. I think videogames need more homosexual characters.
12. I think Terraria is a worse game than Minecraft (because its PvE is essentially a gear-grind).

I saw it the other way. Guerrilla was like "hey, destroy all this stuff and if you so much as turn over a rock the army will be after you, oh and your gun only has 5 bullets in it. Once you destroy enough stuff we'll give you a real mission", while Armageddon actually had a story that included the destruction mechanics... I enjoyed Armageddon but Guerrilla I couldn't bare to play anymore by the time I got to the third area. But eh, that's just my opinion on it...

OT:
- The entire Halo series (minus Halo Wars) was the same game.
- I love Dirge of Cerberus.
- BioWare suck at making games entertaining and should just write books.
- New Vegas also sucked. It was smaller and less open than Fallout 3 was, and the whole game was bland, especially the ending...
