I have no idea what you're on about, sorry. I hope you've heard of a writer by the name of Terry Pratchett?MasterMuffinMan said:Was that an Irregular Webcomic reference? If so, woohoo, I've finally found another readerAboveUp said:My view on death?
Well, as long as he TALKS LIKE THIS, he's a pretty cool guy.
Oh, wait, we're not talking anthropomorphic personifications here are we?
Ah, right, no problem. All the Death characters in a webcomic called Irregular Webcomic have their speech in CAPS, and I thought that might be a reference to it.AboveUp said:I have no idea what you're on about, sorry. A lot of people stress over death and the "end", and stress leads to high blood pressure and other issues. If you don't stress over it, you will live happy. I follow the f' it way of life.Ionami said:So... you're saying if you live carefully, and take necessary measures to increase your chances of survival, (i.e. NOT base jumping or shark wrestling) you're going to die sooner? You know, it IS possible to have concern for things without blowing a proverbial gasket over them. There's nothing wrong with being worried about death, it's natural to feel like that. It also shows that you value your life.Arehexes said:A lot of people stress over death and the "end", and stress leads to high blood pressure and other issues. I would like a more filosophical view: when you worry about it all the time, you're thinking about it all the time, and how it could get you at any point. When you see it on the road that is your life, you are acting and thinking about it allready being close, even if it's only a speck at the horizon.Ionami said:So... you're saying if you live carefully, and take necessary measures to increase your chances of survival, (i.e. NOT base jumping or shark wrestling) you're going to die sooner? Maybe one day, after we conquor aging, we'll conquor death, then we'll all be immortal youths, free to indulge in hedonistic pleasures for eternity. Or just go find some stinking aliens and war them into extinction.

Terry Practchetts death is awesome as half the time he is trying to live, hence hilirous consequences.MasterMuffinMan said:I know of Terry Pratchett, I read a couple of the Discworlds but never really got into the series.
