1. Let another developer make it. All Bethesda did was add guns to Oblivion.
2. #1 would solve my second wish- less bugs. It's like they didn't even test FO3 before release.
3. More character customization. I refuse to believe there wasn't one fat guy in the vault.
4. New setting- New York mayhaps? I realize that in a nuclear war situation NY would be one of the first cities to be destroyed but I can't imagine anything cooler than running around a post-apocalyptic NY.
5. Co-op. And on console co-op, not any of this money-grubbing online co-op.

...Made by a zombified Black Isle? Fallout 3 was a good reimagination of Oblivion, but not a successor to Fallout 2.
Thats because Fallout 2 is a very old game , a modern sequel that did the same thing would be shunned for not being that great.
They could make a game that's true to Fallout 1/2 without making it exactly like Fallout 1/2. They could have made it more in the style of Neverwinter Nights or Knights of the Old Republic with more free-form gameplay, it would have been well-received and true to the originals. What we got, a great game as it was, felt more like The Elder Scrolls: District of Columbia.

I love Fallout 3, mind you, and despite not feeling like a true Fallout 3, I'm really glad it came about. What I'd like to see more, though, is an Elder Scrolls-style game in the Planescape multiverse.

I wish bethesda would make your character a bit more customized like maybe a complicated childhood part. Also, either the removal of the moral system or a complete overhaul it just felt too black and white to me. Also, as people have said bring back a lot of things from the previous games. Fallout 3 felt a bit like a young child trying hard to catch to its older brothers by bringing things that made it popular with others but just isn't meant for the brothers crowd completly *making a refrence for them bringing things from oblivion into it a bit more than they should it was a good game*

I would like to be able to use some sort of vehicle to traverse the wastelands, piloting the helicopters would be cool. Also, the ability to collect materials to build your own dwelling, like being able to place certain things in your inventory instead of doing that terrible grab mechanism.

Moar voice actors, that's all I can really think about right now. Let's wait for Fallout: New Vegas and find out.

I hope for less angry gamers saying that Fallout 1 and 2 were infinity better. Also, a lot of the violence was unnecessary(So many blown up heads). Some more interesting perks would be nice too.

Be turned into a super mutant if you stay in radiation too long.
Good Call. They should make it so you turn into a Mutant if you're strong and a Zombie if you're not.

I want my own radio station that plays the music on my hard drive. I actually like GNR but the dozen songs there get old (older than they really are) before I hit my second playthrough. It would be great if they had a mission where you go around the wasteland collecting records for Three Cat or whoever the new dj will be.

I'd also like to see a night of the living dead area (I thought it would be in Point Lookout) where if you're there at the right time, the house is assaulted by a legion of feral zombies you have to fight off.
It would make for a good feature to have for after you completed everything in the game but you want to chuck in the disc for some action.
They should do the same thing with a particular town. I would've liked Rivet City more if they had to repel a Super Mutant assault from it's walls every night.

More safe houses.

More Side Missions

More Random encounters.

I want to be able to put a bullet through every last one of those kids in Little Lamplight who run around saying "Mungo mungo smells like dungo." ...Other than that I'm not sure

Oh! And if you dress up like a raider they won't shoot at you and you can actually join them and such...

Basically, what you said, but I also want more colors than post apocalyptic brown and gray.
Agreed. That was my biggest issue with the game. Oasis was a nice change of pace but i felt it still needed more. Oblivion had the same problem with everything being green and lush.

In Fallout 4 I would love some vehicles. Old cars and bikes that you can find and fix up and drive around the wasteland.

Better voice acting for sure. Hey Bethesda!! Hire me!!
