I'm a size 6 to 8 and somehow obese by fashion's standards. good to know it's not this bad everywhere -- and all the guys on this thread saying they value a girl's eyes and smile and sense of humor/intelligence more than how closely she resembles a toothpick is very good to hear. I just hope it kicks in soon how awful these expectations are, especially the ones we create for ourselves.Beldaros said:Ok I obviously do not know your nationality. However, media coverage that suggests the desired look is to have your ribs on show is mainly american. Other nations do dabble in it but they try to be more sensitive on the issue. Because of the way women have to look to be on the catwalk, many girls believe that they have to get to this same painfully unhealthy weight, it is a massive problem in the world and I see it in my friends as well.
I'm unfortunate in that I struggle to put on weight, I may not be a girl but we guys have to deal with the same problems with all these slim, muscle men that I think look awful but others think look desirable. I know what it's like to be unhealthily slim though, it hurts, you get sick often and it's uncomfortable to sleep. I have never understood why somebody would want to do this to themselves. The human psyche is a terrifying thing.

I don't know if american sizes are different then british but 6-8 is quite thin by uk standards. My smallest friend is a size 8 after that 12 and all my female friends are stunning. I'm not sure it will ever kick in globally peopple have to make the realisisation on their own unfortunately.Beldaros said:astute guess -- yeah, I'm american. This. To the point actually.zenfox3 said:the eyes.
unlike men, women almost NEVER tell you the truth about themselves, and there is a secret tell behind a womans eye that shows you who they really are.
this is also why people wont play poker with me T_T
and its funny to see the reactions when I can tell if they are lying
either that or the shape of a petit butt, I dont mean to be sexist, but its like something...animal, comes out of me when I see a petit girls butt.

No, not boobs. That's just vulgar and I don't think of woman as objects of lust, but as people with personalities and...
