Metallica.

I freaking love Metallica. I enjoy most of their work, and I wouldn't mind seeing them live or anything like that.
But Jesus-Non existing-Christ, are they ever overrated.

The rolling stones

White noise, that's all it is.
They are atleast better than any modern music.... well it's not hard to be better than modern music than it's all screaming, bad words, horrible musicans and usless lyrics that don't mean anything.
Sounds like your close-minded. Both of you that is.
Nope, I give all music a chanse but I know what I like and what I dislike.
Quoting you again: "They are atleast better than any modern music.... well it's not hard to be better than modern music than it's all screaming, bad words, horrible musicans and usless lyrics that don't mean anything."

You really gave music a chance, when you brushed off any modern music, as horrbile musicians and all screaming, and useless lyrics. Do even know so much music to make that kind of statement? I bet not. Overall this statement you made sounds very much like your putting it as a fact rather than an opinion.

You might not like screaming, but that doesnt make music bad.
You have no idea, I have lisenied to nearly all more or less famous modern bands everything from R&B too death metal and it's all shit, exept Rammstein and a few other songs by others while the older music is soooooooooooooooo much better in everyway
Because the most popular band of each genre is a representation of it? *Sarcasm*

If Rammstein is the only good modern music, then you dont know anything about music.

Tell me what Death Metal band did you listen too?

Older music is only better, because you refuse to be a bit more open-minded towards new things.
Ever heard of spotify? you can lisen to nearly anything and I've been lurking trouth nearly all kinds of music they have both famous and underground bands/singers and I don't like it it all blows why would I remember the name of a band that makes shit? than I instead can remember the name of good bands, I'm not good at names my favorite bans is the clash and I don't even know the name of the members. but I comfess it exist A LOT horrible music from the 50's to the early 90's but I think the music that is classed as "Good" (nearly all genres) from the 50's to the e90's is A LOT better than the music classed as "good" now, I see you seem pissed beacose I think modern is shit but it's my opinion I like led zeppelin the clash U.K subs rolling stones Bojangles and a lot more(bojangles dosent mean anything it's yust there to make the situation less tenced) and it's ok if you like modern music if it's rap modern rock alternative or black metal but I think it suck and you can't do anything about it exectly how I can't do anything about you likeing modern music. And wtf do you know how much I know about music you are right I don't know shit I only know I lissened too most of it and I know what I like and don't like and that a thing you cant conter in anyway....
Its funny you say its your opinion, when you present it as fact.

Also listening to music on spotify does not equal to knowing all music.

Also, are you gonna call these modern songs shit?

[youtube.=_fhVLykF3nU]
For me my opinions IS fact. And ofc spotify isn't equal to all music and it's not the only way to hear different kinds of music ever heard about radio, CD and youtube? :p And the song you sended was/is really bad... I really mean it, horrible.
Opinion is not fact.

Burden is pretty much made in the same vein as King Crimsons Epitath, Led Zeppelins Stairway to heaven, Deep Purples Child in Time, etc etc, its like an old ballad from the 70s, although with a few modern touches.

You are close-minded, and should consider broadening your horizons.
My opinionsc are concrete and a fact for me. and stairway to heaven and child in time can't be compared to that wannabe good song.... thing I can't even call that music ... well I can but it's not even close as good as the ol' classics yust accept, modern music will never EVER be better than the classics. now your tuen to try making me like modern music or keep repeating I'm close minded than I allready gave nearly all music a chanse I lissened to it all nearly than decided what's shit and what's pure awesomeness it's not exactly I lissened to 3-4 songs and said everything is shit.... so you're statement is invalid.
You continue to spout close-minded geibberish. Your also going against definitions of words. Because Opinions are not facts, as much as youd like your opinions to be facts, they wont.

If Led Zeppelin made music today instead of 30 years ago, you would consider it shit, because its made today.

Cant you even see/hear how redicoulous that is.

You dont have to like Modern Music, but your presenting your opinion of it as a fact, modern music takes pretty much the same skill and musicianship for it to be good. How is it that 40 years later suddenly every musician is shit? . But people who are stuck with 70s music generally cant seem to move on.
No I wouldn't beacose if the good bands were modern modern music would be good isn't that pretty obvius... you acuse me for talking gibberish than you are trying to prove to someone that despies modern music for yes, being shit that it isn't you know you can't force someone to belive and like, like you do. And my opinions is fact to me it don't need to be pure fact for you or for anybody else but for me it is it's like if you think the sky is brown and really seriusly think it's brown you have tryed everything to see it's not brown but for you it's brown and than somebody says it isn't it's... yellow instead for him (that's only a metamorf if you don't get it don't bullshit me for it instead try to understand it) so it's like beating a dead horse you seem to love the horrible modern music while I wanna see it get shot in the legs crawl a few meters and than die. And it don't take the same skill now you need a band and a bearded guy to handle the sound (ofc it takes more than that but not allways) before you needed a band and tons of instrument like the beatles needed to record every single sound one by one and than put it together into the hole song and before the lyrics and messages (in the text) were yust better meaning something (usally) And I can move on whith my music I have F***ing tryded if you haven't understanded that yet you must be kinda slow (no offence, I possibly yust didin't made that clear enought)
You need a band and instruments today aswell, and it takes skill too.

You dont have to like modern music.

But that doesnt mean its shit/untalented unskilled.

I dont like most modern tech death bands, but i admit to the fact they do have technical prowess over their instruments.

Lyrics are also purely subjective.
yeah that's true but I still think modern music is shit... ^^ btw you got a awesome avatar^^
Thankyou, im guessing your recognise it?
No i don't acculy, who is it?
Its the Tsar from Ivan Vasilievich Meniat Proffesiju, an old soviet russian comedy film.

You can catch it quite often on russian TV.
Cool, but I don't live in russia, but close^^

Nirvana, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin I would say. I have never been a big fan of the Beatles to begin with, I like Led Zeppelin but there are bands that I like so much more and Nirvana? My brother loves them, but I have always thought that they were overrated in my humble opinion.

I stand corrected good sir. They are the best band of all time.
I vote that we castrate said people.

Underrated? Their newest album The Final Frontier got to number 1 in the offical UK album chart. That may not seem like much but trust me the mainstream UK is oppossed to anything heavier than Justin fucking Bieber.

I know, which was a surprise because it's one of their lesser albums, but one of the most successful. Don't know how they managed to pull that off.

I suppose The Jonas Brothers. Oh, and Fallout Boy.

Oh and every time one of you mentions how overrated the Beatles are I cut off another one of my fingers (I'm a fan).

Nickleback and the countless post-grung clones that have followed the same template. I like Nickleback, but the band isn't something special, and has inspired an endless flow of 'cookie cutter' pseudo Rock.

Not necessarily bad, though, overrated.

Muse, System of a Down, U2, Disturbed, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Who. The Beatles.

I have a couple more, but I cba to type them.
It's mainly because I don't like them (anymore) or get why there was such a big fuss about them.
