Elder Scrolls V, if we're lucky.

Fallout Online? Ehh...I don't really see it. Could be cool, if handled right. Morrowindish, in a way.
It's not going to be like Fallout 3. I'm guessing they'll keep it like the first two Fallout games, which could work.

I half agree and half not. I am scared to death they will dilute the Oblivion/Elder Scrolls experience by making it an online, but at the same time think how Awesome an online game it would be.
Elder Scrolls online could be AWESOME, and you know why? THEY COULD GET RID OF ALL THOSE STUPID NPC'S AND JUST HAVE PLAYERS. Wouldn't that be neat? You could have your own dungeon and hang out with all your bandit friends! People could come try to take you out and you could smack them around and take their stuff!

If they did it that way, it would be sweet.
Yeah, like factions that could be against eachother and fight for different territories? Awesome idea!

Sounds like overkill to me. Am I missing the massive upsurge in demand for additional Fallout games? Anyway, since when has a saturation marketing approach done anything but damage a core brand? Yes, all these games could potentially be life-altering in their awesomeness, but given the lacklusterness of Fallout 3, I kinda doubt it.

All the companies doing it have some of the original developers from the early Fallouts working there: Interplay has Tim Cain and Chris Taylor; InXile has Jason Anderson and Brian; Obsidion has Feargus and 6 other original developers from the early Fallouts. (and Bethesda has the rights to the series, and has so far allowed Interplay and Obsidion to add to the series. I think InXile is doing Wasteland because they have two original developers and they want to jump in on the bandwagon. Bethesda will have to watch closely for any copywrite infractions probably on InXile's work on Wasteland.

I was wondering if the old developers had trouble breaking off from working on it, you know it was their dream; their baby - and they were all very mad when Interplay just snatched it away from them and told them they were scrapping it, that is why they all left Interplay in that huge exodus. Since they left they couldn't touch it because Interplay had the rights to it, they didn't. I think Wasteland was the dream being followed up on. Bethesda allowed Interplay to do the MMO, and Bethesda asked Obsidion to do Fallout:New Vegas. Not sure how InXile will get away with Wasteland without a lot of scrutiny.

Well the GOTY has started taking Pre-Orders, and it will have two expansions, one being the Brotherhood of Steel, and the other being Point Look! What is Point Look? You may well ask, but Pete Hines is not telling yet. Brotherhood of Steel has to be on there in order to continue your game after the Main Questline ends, of course; but Point Look has not even been hinted at yet in any interviews! Wonder what it will be like!

Here are some details on BOS :

http://www.gamerevolution.com/preview/pc/fallout3-broken-steel

Plus Interplay may be losing it's rights to the Fallout MMO, they were not able to come up with the 30 million after all it seems.

Broken Steel is already after project purity, so that would tie right in!

Point Lookout is the next DLC due to come out in June, and then Mothership Zeta in July. Fallout: New Vegas comes out next year, and Fallout 4 the year after that.

Sometime this fall The Elder Scrolls books are coming out, and "something else Oblivion" is coming out; (no one at Bethesda will say what it is). Then in 2010 TESV will be released. Bethesda has trademarked the name Skyrim, so looks like that's where it will be!

Then there is Brink, coming out in Spring 2010. I posted a bulletin a few weeks ago wondering why they got a trademark on the name Brink - well now we know. They didn't give much info, but it looks Awesome! - by the way, that IS the secret project Splash Damage has been working on! Finally we know something!

I can't wait, and I am putting up money starting now!

Elder Scrolls V is already in the works, due to come out next year - I CAN'T WAIT !!

I wonder where TESV will be? I've heard rumors of Skyrim and rumors of Black Marsh.
Wow, didn't believe you, so I Wikipedia-ed it and got this: "In late October 2008, shortly after the release of Fallout 3, Bethesda's Publishing Executive, Paul Oughton, indicated that the series' fifth installment could be released in 2010."

Exciting.
I would never lie about a Bethesda game, (sacred territory, lol)
Is there a reliable source that states that TESV is in the works? I ask this because Wikipedia just doesn't quite cut it, and because I'd rather not get my hopes up for something quite so fantastic if it wasn't true.

I find the whole appeal of Elder Scrolls games is that they are singleplayer. It requires a little more creativity to mould a multi-path storyline and not have to worry about setting up multiplayer modes. Also the Elder Scrolls series never have that feeling of grind that most MMOs need to keep people playing, it's about story rather than achievement. I cannot say the same for Fallout 3 because I haven't played but I think I'm right in saying that Bethesda's Elder Scrolls just aren't good material for MMO. That said I look forward to TESV and will buy a new computer in order to play it, just hope that it won't be as big a let down as Oblivion. Hope we get crossbows and throwing knives/stars back they were awesome. And levitation magic. I was a huge Morrowind fan.

With the all these huge names in gaming talent under one roof, whatever game they produce is going to ROCK the gaming industry.
Didn't they say that about Daikatana?
=D
Anyway, a fallout MMO? So long as there are no subscription fees, I'll play it. Sounds interesting.
Totally agree. That's one of two reasons why I don't play World of Warcraft. Subscription fees. The other reason is I would likely get so strung up in it, i would turn into a basement smeagol.

precioussss.......

But with an MMO version of these games, what would happen to fast travel?
It'd likely be removed, but the Fallout and Elder Scrolls lands are MASSIVE.
Maybe you'd actually be able to use the many subway stations littering the wasteland in an actual train.
That's true, but with games like TES4 and F3, the landscapes are just beautiful to look at. I sometimes dust off TES4 just to walk around some of the forests. Yes, it would be annoying walking everywhere, but I think that's a very small sacrifice; and it would be an MMO, so you can hike with friends. lol

I think they're going to make an rpg about a biker gang dude who goes on one too many murders and gets arrested. He drops the soap in jail and escapes into a life of gay hookers and flowers. His enemy is a hooker who cheated him and he must write him an apology letter and win the game!

(Obviously not.)

I honestly can't think of what they'll do with a team like that...

Maybe...

A Fallout Enemy Terrority?

Mass Effect: Fallout?

Gears-of-Fall-Fable-Kill-Effect: Lego Adventure!

Ok i'm going to stop talking because this is useless.

Though whatever they're making, its likely going to be awesome.
I loled when i read your suggestions. Good stuff, my friend!

Interplay doesn't have the graphics that bethsoft does? Have you played Fallout 3? Everything is green tint and actually looks worse than TES:4. I hope bethslop doesn't get the rights. They don't need to fuck up another game. They need to stick to just fucking up their own franchise(TES series).

The people working at interplay right now were made the original fallout games. Since they do have some actual skill, unlike the untalented wankers at Bethslop, I really hope it stays in their hands.
Spoken like a true No Mutant Allowed fag.

My experience with Fallout 3 was not in green tint. When I left the vault, everything was prominently brown. The only time I actually encountered a lot of green was Oasis.

What green tint do you refer to? The Pip Boy? You can change the color of your Pip Boy to either green or gold (green or blue on the PS3). Or are you just making up shit based on what other people (or bad reviewers) have told you?

Aside from the fact that Bethesda writes shitty dialogue (which actually improved in Fallout 3) and can't seem to budget to get a voice acting cast of dozens so that not all NPCs sound alike, they do a decent job. And if they ever get WORSE at it, then they'll get less money, sell the franchise, and we'll get another company NOT Interplay to make their version of it (which will not be 2-D, 16-bit, isometric with a tendency to put us to sleep with broken turn-based combat of the old Fallouts).

100% on everything you said! You ROCK!
I bet his TV either sucks, or he doesn't know how to work the color settings. I have a friend that biases every game he plays based on graphics and color. I keep telling him the damn settings are wrong, but he doesn't listen >_>

Brink hmmm, sounds interesting, several human factions fighting over who can enter that Arc thingy to survive the destruction of Earth. Wonder how that will play out.

And 'bout TESV, please dón't let it be Skyrim. It's so incredibly dull compared to what's possible! Why not Vallenwood or any other more interesting territory, or the one with all the Asian-like architecture. Anything but the barren, harsh and mountainous land of Skyrim.

They're giving us DLC to keep us occupied while they make Fallout 4.

Getting an all-star team of talent together doesn't necessarily mean the final product will even be worth playing. Spore had an all-star dev team and look what that got them. A shallow, dull experience that was barely worth pirating, never mind putting SecuROM EA-style on your computer for.
Well, I guess all we have is hope.

Bethesda said they had it slated to come out in 2010 over a year ago. You know Bethesda, the closer it gets to getting here the less they say till they are ready to put it out in the stores. They definately have it, and they said they are absolutely doing something else "Oblivion related" this fall too (and it isn't the books). They have trademarked the name Skyrim recently, so I know one of the things they are doing will have to do with Skyrim.

BRINK!?!

A brand new series from Bethesda?

This will be so cool!
This one (Brink) is a FPS, and is probably multiplayer because it was made by Splash Damage.
