I agree, was it you or someone else who pointed out the solitude of the player in the game that really sets the ambiance of the play that would be destroyed by packed crowds marauding around - I agree. If it can't be done in smaller numbers it will become unliveable. And what you said about acting civilly to eachother - YES!

Now if they make it factions, would they be against each other upon meeting and have to fight? Then having to fight all the enemies as well? Will there be quests? I remember in WOW having to wait to complete quests till things reset because someone had just been there. I like getting loot when I play, it's almost half the fun for me to explore and find loot.
I don't see any need to run off of Diablo's ancient system for something like Fallout. Diablo's multiplayer emphasizes the aspect of a party (or two) that helped eachother. Fallout wouldn't mesh nearly as well, unless you're just slapping on a fresh coat of atmosphere onto Diablo.

I'd imagine something along the lines of large congregations of players in hubs, and then have the wasteland to explore. Depending on what you do in the wasteland, is what happens in the cities. If the players are generally destroying any convoys they come across, then there's opportunities for bounty hunters. Your reputation is affected on what you do, and who you killed. Based on if you left anyone alive of course. You can go out with a party, and whatever twisted in-party diplomacy comes into effect after you murder a band of cavemen, rape their women, and take their shiny stuff.

Possibly you could affect how the cities are run as well; to kill the local crime lords, and set up your own gambling dens? Run a monopoly of hotels for the other players and NPC's?

I could have alot of fun making this game.

That sounds like it would be fun in a single player too! If you make it, I'll play it! Lol.

See, I agree with that, but there are certain games that make me think about how much fun it would be to play with a friend.
Does anyone else think that Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney would make a kick-ass co-op game? What about Dead Space? Bioshock? Doom? Mass Effect?

I loved the gates, and speaking of which, has everyone heard about the new Oblivion DLC that Bethesda is working on for this year?

in my opinion, if bethesda making something, they hear and see those people who creates mods and improves their games. let's see oblivion, it was good, but not perfect, if not the modifications. hmm they could make something (for bethesda team it would be alot easier) like 'Immersive first person looks' for both oblivion and fallout online, also fallout world MUST be alot bigger than Washington DC, it must be a whole continent or a whole world, because players will do feel like they are alone in the wasteland. in conclusion bethesda must hear the voices of people and make flawless game (so i hope and really don't expect coming it out for years) (also it has to have bigger variety of items, and Fallout must get rid of inventory, maybe realistic carrying be better: small items into the pocket or backpack, bigger items into backpack and big items in your hands) Fallout is worth to be flawless

Knowing Bethesda, it'd be too soon for Fallout 4, and with the way Fallout 3 ended, I'm pretty sure that they're wouldn't really be a main problem for Fallout 4 to take place...anyways, I'm hoping for Elder Scrolls 5. I wasn't too big on Morrowind, but Oblivion...I don't think I could love a human baby as much as I love Oblivion

I don't agree exactly...when your injured, and have no medical supplies left, that fast travel just might save your bacon. But, on the other hand, I could see how the fast travel feature would get rid of the entire tactical side of the carry-limit...

Any MMO based on a bethesda game will most likely become the griefer's paradise. Lets hope they build ground up rather than port fallouts version of oblivion into a multiplayer universe

Its never to early for a sequal!

Fallout 4: Two hundred and 24 years after Fallout 3, our hero, the child of the guy who purified the waters of the wastes but died in the process and that hooker in Megaton is set on a bold quest to farm the wastes.

-Use the new C.R.O.P.S system, plant your seeds!
-Feed the hungry with your potato launcher!
-Explore the vast wasteland....for more seeds!
-Tend the brahmin herds!

Fallout 4.
Summer 2010.

Bethesda will not be making it, Interplay will, as of April 2, 2009. Interplay came up with a partner (Masthead) and met the requirements to do the online game.

Lol, that is what I was thinking. I hope there are limited parties, co-op or something.
