I'm not a big fan of reading but I was intrigued by the James Bond books my dad get from the library, probelm is I can't read fast and I only see him on weekends and he borrows the book for one week.

Right now I'm reading 2.

Primarily, I'm reading To Kill a Mockingbird, which is fucking fantastic. I can see why it's so acclaimed; it's so well written.

On the side I'm reading another book, which I take out when I have a moment at school. I just keep it in my bag. It's called The Mosquito Coast by Paul Theroux. It's quite good so far (though I'm only about 45 pages into it), but it seems strange too.

Currently Re-reading the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher, really great stuff, I highly recommend it.

Other Recommendations: Pretty much anything by Terry Pratchett, the Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz, Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson

There's lots more, but I don't think anyone would care...

I'm reading both Vampire Academy and Shattered Mirror at the same time though right now there's a hiatus since I unearthed some of my dad's old comic books so i guess you can throw in 'Slingers' and 'Gambit' too.

I've got a few going. Flatland, Halo: Evolution, and Tales of the Black Company are three I keep bouncing between.

Also really glad to see this on here, most people seem to be turning their backs on books these days.

Star Wars: Vector Prime, not the most intellectual thing I have read but fun. And I always wondered how the republic continued after the dead of the Emperor so... it suits me

Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. I read a lot of fiction but also try to get about 1 non-fiction for every fiction. The overly simplified explanation of the content is why the Incan Empire didn't invade Europe. Why human beings developed in different areas, and why. It's really interesting but it's academic in nature- so if you're not into a long read in anthropology- I'd pass. Personally, I love it.

Artemis fowl books...

For the sixth time.

I usually read every series I like about 5-8 times. My max, though is 14. (That was Hiccup Horrendous Haddock ones. I dunno, I just like them)

I've always found Dean Koonts' work to be emmersive. Try 'The Husband' or 'Strange Highways'. I'm currently reading 'Velocity', it's good so far.
