Pretty simple, just give the name of the book you're reading, the author, and whether or not you like it.

Currently, I'm having my mind blown by "Atlas Shrugged", by Ayn Rand. Seriously, that book is deep!
I actually got a book yesterday as a present and it's called "The Knife of Never Letting Go"
interesting book, to be honest.

I tried to get into The Road by Cormac McCarthy, but I thought it was too slow. Nothing ever happened.
Just saw the movie yesterday, i can see how it would be a slow read in book form.

not exactly sure whats it was called but it was something like the curious incident of the dog in the night time. not sure on the author. good book.
Isn't that the one about the autist? Read it on a long train trip a while back... lovely novel.
yeah its like the writer is autistic himself, because i don't know how he even managed to write the book. must of spent a while with some autistic people to understand how they work.

I just finished a new Dave Duncan Novel, "Speak to the Devil". I usually enjoy him but this one, I just wasn't feeling it. I am now on to David Weber's "Mission of Honor", the new Honor Harrington book. I also read "Naamah's Curse" by Jacqueline Carey, "B.P.R.D.- War on Frogs" by Mike Mignola and bunch of other artist/writers, "Waiter Rant" by Steve Dublanica and "Southern Knights- The Graphic novel" by Henry Vogel and Butch Guice. It's a Superhero team set in Atlanta. The Characters are Electrode- A comic book fan who gave himself electricity-based superpowers, Mark Dagon, the last living dragon, who can take on human form, Connie, a woman who wields a psychic sword that feels real when she hits you with it, but leaves no lasting wounds, and Kristin, a girl who was born super-strong and mostly invulnerable ( .50 Cal tank round hit her and knocked her over, but she got up and walked away from it.)

Later on, they got joined by a magician named Aramis Merrow.

Divine Comedy / Dante's Inferno by Dante Alighieri. Nice story.
first read through or have you read it before?

I recently finished The Divine Comedy again, it had been too long since I'd last picked it up. It's a heavy hitter so I've gone for something lighthearted this time
The Princess Bride by William Goldman- pure classic!
I'm at first read but I got the hang of the story and I love it.

Yes, that book should not be tossed aside lighty. It should in fact be thrown with great force against a wall.

But on topic though, I am currently reading The Republic by Plato, quite an interesting read.

At this very moment, I have "Class A" by Robert Muchamore balanced on my thigh, and I have to admit, it's not very good.
I'm reading it because it's something to do, not because I enjoy it.

I can never seem to read a single book at a time.

Currently I'm working on:

The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand
The Golden Ratio - Mario Livio
God Created the Integers - Stephen Hawking

I'm reading the Fountainhead because I enjoyed Atlas Shrugged. The Golden Ratio and God Created the Integers are the inevitable result of taking far too many math classes.

None at the moment, planning on buying Dragon Haven by Robin Hobb soon though.
I strongly advise you to buy it. Im currently reading the first book of the series (ASSASSIN'S APPRENTICE) and I absolutely love it. Im not normally a fantasy type books kinda guy, but this is one of the best books I have ever read.

Bought it and finished it last night, great book but I kinda wish she had written a bit of what happens after they reach the place.

Here's to hoping she writes more books set in that world, im thinking perhaps the soldier son world is the same world as the rest of the books but on a different continent.
