What consoles do you own this gen?

(Not counting portables)

All of them and none of them.

I've owned all of the three consoles but I've sold them all, then bought some of them again, sold, bought, sold.

I bought the Xbox 360 at release, then I got Wii. Played a enough games, got bored of it (Wii) and sold it. My girlfriend at the time didn't think Mario was more fun than Kameo and, although I've got Mario as nostalgia, I don't really care about the series at all anymore.

Years went by, I sold my 360, bought a new one, played the new game I wanted, finished ,noticed there weren't enough good games available to keep the system. So I sold it again.

Bought another Wii, "hacked" it with whatever was available at the time, making it play iso-files, played the games I liked, while the girlfriend was using the "Fit Board" for snowboarding and yoga and whatnot. We both got bored pretty fast.

Bought another Xbox 360, played a couple of games, then got bored.

More Xboxes, more, more.

I bought a PS3 because of Heavy Rain alone. Good game but not good enough. Played Little Big Planet with friends which was okay. It's a great game but I don't play games alone, I play with friends. Looked at Uncharted, tried it really fast, got bored and sold the PS3.

Over the years I've had 7 Xbox 360's, 2 Wii's and 2 PS3's. I've never had one hardware failure of the 360 (probably because I sold it too fast), but it apparently had better exclusives TO ME than the other consoles. Not counting FPS, I hate FPS on consoles.

I'm currently not owning a single console. None of them are good enough to keep me from PC gaming. (Although Dust 514 is probably going to make me get another PS3 (which will probably last for a month or two until I realize I'd rather play with friends than alone) unless they release it for PC soon enough)

I have a PS3 for it's exclusives and I have an Xbox 360, which was my main gaming platform before I became a PC gamer. Now my Xbox is for exclusives or multi-platform games that are not on PC, as I now buy all my multi-platform games on PC.

Oh and a 3DS but that's pretty much for boredom during lunch time at work or something.

For me, I have all three for specific purposes:

Wii: The Family-Friendly console that is good for family get-togethers and for any friends that are not a fan of violence. I hate that it does not have a lot of good games, or 720p resolution, and motion controls... fuck I hate this system

Xbox 360: Shooters and perhaps the rare exclusive that blows my mind (Alan Wake). The controller is perfect for playing FPSs. And the XBLA indie titles are AMAZING

PS3: RPGs and everything else. This is my preferred console. The exclusives are fantastic. I love to immerse myself in God of War, Uncharted, Resistance, 3D Dot Game Heroes ETC.
Alan Wake is not exclusive to 360, there's also on PC. This brings me to the next point (which is a matter of opinion), why should I buy 360 if I can play shooters on the master PC?
Alan Wake was originally Xbox exclusive for almost two years. It was one of the few exclusives it had. The 360s big problem is that apart from Halo, It has little to no exclusive games.

I also dislike mouse and keyboard controls which is apparently blasphemy for admitting that

This generation? Well seeing as this generation is a tad blurry at this point, I own...

Xbox 360
Wii
Playstation 3
PSP
DS
3DS
and a gaming PC (even though it's not a console)

I don't own a Vita and don't plan on buying one. I picked up a 360 at launch (due to some connections) and since you have to pay for online, I usually pick up my multiplats for it. Wii has Metroid and Zelda, along with some other gems and railshooters, so of course I have to own one. I picked up my PS3 just as they took out backwards compatibility, and I had given my PS2 to my younger cousins anticipating being able to play PS2 games on my PS3, so I was pretty muffed. Rarely play my PSP, DS was practically just for Pokemon with a few awesome titles sprinkled here and there, and the 3DS is becoming more awesome with each title that's released.

And PC's are PCs, what more is there to say about it?

I had a Wii until it died, now I only have a PS3. I'm going to be getting a 3DS for my birthday to which I will use to great extent (god dammit Capcom, continue the Megaman Battle Network series!)

I just have a 360, I've had 2 PS3's (one nicked, one had to get sold) and I've got one of the early PSP's.
I have a Sony phone so I can sign into my PSN account but I haven't quite worked out how to buy games >.> <.<

PS3, Wii and a crappy laptop. I mostly play on ps3, but Twilight Princess is awesome on the wii. My laptop doesn't really run any current-gen games. Not. Even. Amnesia.

I have a Wii, a 360, a DS, a PSP, and I last Christmas I got a 3DS. I thought about getting a PS3, but the damn thing is just too bloody expensive and there weren't enough games (that interested me) on it to make it worth while.

360 and Wii here. With how we define generations handhelds doesn't count, but I also got a 3DS. I have a gaming PC, but PCs are several generations ahead of consoles so I don't think that counts either.

I have a pc that runs everything fine... other than that, consoles, nothing recent, newest one I have is a ps2, then a SNES and a NES, but that's it... and I tend to use the ps2 as a DVD player more than anything else, and even less as that in recent months as I built a little PC outa spare bits left over from a few upgrades, and hooked it up to my TV, so now I have the internet, and a dvd player, no need for anything else to watch every movie ever on it, and every TV series out there.

This is mainly due to the fact that nothing has come out that's console specific that I would consider worth the cost of a console to play, and everything else works with whatever controler I wanna use on my PC... so yeah...

I own all of them.

My PCs are used for work and that's it.

I am writing this from my Playstation 3 web surfing interface. I can also watch movies, stream music, and chat with friends. If my PS 3 had a decent word processing program, I would never use my PC for anything else.

I have PS3 and some old games on my laptop, along with NDS. My roommate has Xbox which I have full access to but rarely play.

Low/mid-end PC that still plays the occasional indie game (Humble Bundle gogogo)

Also, not sure if these are this generation, but I also got the original DS and the DSi.

I don't want to sound like a fanboy but X360 has more exclusives then you might think but alot of people never heard of them though.

I used to own a Wii until I sold it when I left for college. My roommates have always had Xbox 360 and a Wii so I play there games if there is a title that interests me, but I prefer to play games on the computer.

Oh and I have a Nintendo DS of course, but handhelds don't count in my book.

May I ask what those exclusives are?

Just a 360. DOn't like the negativity that surrounds PC gaming or the general aloof attitude of PC gamers so i only play Dawn of War (All games) While I play everything else on 360. RPG, RTS, FPS, Fighter, Arcade, hack n slash. I play everthing. Apart from sports games.

360, PS3, PSP and DS. I suppose my laptop counts since it is powerful enough to run some current gen games, but I mostly use it for older stuff.

Though it was different when I first got them, my PS3 is my bluray player and my 360 sits unplugged in the corner of my living room and collects dust. I've already told myself that one of these days I will work less and give it the attention it deserves. :p
