Ugh. Again, really? STALKER was in Chernobyl, Ukraine. Why do people keep saying that Chernobyl was in Russia? That is like saying Vancouver wouldn't work because it is in America again.

As OP have said, Russia. Most definetly. I'm Russian myself, and for me the aesthetic of Fallout applied to this country would be both a "nostalgia trip" and a source of hilarity. It's like if STALKER had babies with Red Alert, what's not to love?

And for people who say that "nuclear fifties" theme wouldn't work outside of the US... you have no freakin' idea. Soviet Union's fifties with their architecture and propaganda are as nostalgic for us as suburbs and commercial art of the fifties are for Americans. The levels of "good-old"-ness are pretty much equal.

Second that, but not only Tokyo, but most of Japan, like Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Kyoto, etc.

Other than that, I would like to see Mexico, even though it's where I currently live though.

Keep it in the US, fallout wouldn't work any where else. You would lose the whole 50's theme that's pretty essential to these games.

Iceland! There's not much there to be honest so you could probably get away without actually turning it into a nuclear wasteland... Also, I would prefer it if Iceland never got nuked.

Heh, I've actually seen a mod for that, it's like Fallout, only in an exact replica of Reykjavik.

Tokyo Japan, has all the elements to make a great Fallout game setting.
Maybe Godzilla could make a cameo appearance.
