Canada would be cool especially since it was annexed in the game, but I'd like to see Mexico or Brazil

None, it just wouldn't work.. all the established plot and factions would be thrown out the window.. Besides the key point of Fallout is it's showing us the U.S.'s dogmatic and 'golden' age of the 50's uprooted and how everyone's reacting. It wouldn't work in any other country, because in the 50's the U.S. was pretty much known for communist paranoia.

Also I'm pretty sure New Vegas is either going to be eventually called Fallout 4.. or just be left without a number. It's pretty much a sequel to Fallout 2, because in the NCR someone notes about New Vegas and the NCR's want for that.

Australia!

Yeah, let's shoot some kangaroo's!
That is a terrible idea. Scorpids and Mirklurks are bad enough, but most of the animals CURRENTLY in Australia can kill you just by brushing past you. We don't need to see how fucked we are after they've become radioactive super mutants. And then there are the boguns, the giant mutant boguns.

EDIT: Or those FUCKING jumping snakes. How does a god damned SNAKE jump? I'll tell you. Mostly for shits and giggles. Partly to catch slow and stupid people like me as well.

I'm sticking with UK. I'd maybe recognise some of the locations then.

And on a slightly different note, I want a zombie apocalypse game set in Britain as well. Because tht would be awesome.

Well, being from Argentina, I would like to see an apocalyptic version of Buenos Aires

To be canon, it would probably do best in Beijing, like the Enclave forces are invading to gain world domination as most superpowers will strive for. You could be on the side of the Chinese since just about everyone in the Enclave is evil.
Have a major fight in the forbidden city with you standing over the "hall of complete harmony" - yes I researched it - and kind of ironic over where the fighting takes place.
also it's be kind of cool to see mutated tigers and pandas - imagine getting mauled to death by a panda.

Somewhere in central Euroep. Italy, Austria, Germany, France... Lots of places with mountains and forests, rural towns, cities with lots of Gothic architecture and massive churches. That kinda stuff.

I've said as much before but I think it bears repeating. Much of what makes Fallout what it is, is the twisted version of Americana that we get to explore. The feeling of nostalgia combined with WFT.
Much of the charm of the games is this trek through a pastiche of America, not as it is, but a skewed parody of an ideal. If you were to move it somewhere else you may get a good game, but not a Fallout game.
Fallout works, for me at least, because it's so tantalizingly close to true Americana, but somewhere it all went horribly wrong and now we're left with a nightmare distortion.

As I said, an important aspect of all the Fallout games has been the recognition of our own society gone insane and a kind of melancholy. If the game was moved to, say, China, I would not know the society and not know how it had changed. It would be great for the Chinese players I guess, but for me it would be weird. I would lack the frame of reference I normally have in Fallout.
That's not to say I wont play a game set in China (post apocalyptic or not) but I'd rather play something new and not a Fallout game. Fallout is a take on the US and western way of life. Leave the rest to other games I think.

Edit, because I'm grumpy today:
It would be like moving Max Payne to Brazil or X-Com to the 50's. It would defeat the point of the games and take away what made them unique. Oh, wait...

Fallout Mexcio City. The Aztec ruins rising out of the wasteland would be awesome. Plus, the twisted version of the rain forest would be interesting as well.

I'd love to see China and/or Japan and Korea though, that would be great. You never learn much about how China's doing after the war in the Fallout canon, so it would be nice to see.
This would also be cool.

They should do New York though.
I'm guessing they don't do this for fear of backlash.

It seems unfair, since they blew up the capitol already. Hell, the White House is an unrecognizable pit of radiation poisoning. They chopped Lincoln's head off! Surely you can't offend people too much by doing Fallout New York?

I think New York would be a blast.

I would say Australia but I would prefer them to just make a Mad Max game outright. So maybe Russia? Too much like Metro 2033 maybe? Tasmania, because a mutant Tasmanian Devil would be awesome.

I agree to Russia...England would also be cool, as well as someplace formerly wild...imagine a tropical rain forest, now mostly dead, with festering disease and mushroom-like growths...inhabited primarily by insects and mutated animals. There wouldn't be any giant bugs though...they need an atmosphere -heavy- in oxygen, which wouldn't be the case with dead rain forests. This would be more like a segment in the game though...you travel to some hidden base out in the jungle, then go back to the world of surviving humans, as that's where the real story would be.

Fallout can only exist in the U.S.
Take it out of the U.S. and it ceases to be Fallout

I agree and say Beijing should be the next city. I really wanna see if the Chinese got it as bad as we did.
