This was just from two persons. We decided at least ten years ago to quit getting so much stuff for each other, and keep it at one-two presents tops, but my grandmother never cares so we gotta make up for her generosity. It's actually getting worse each year now. All I asked for was a leather wallet.

From someone else (i.e. Grandma and her posse on speed-dial): A 25 dollar gift card to a store that refuses to recognize said gift card online... *sigh* It's the same thing I get every year from them, so there's not much surprise when I tell everyone "I don't want to open this on Christmas Eve because it's literally the only gift I ever get on Christmas... and I still love you for it. Merry Knishmas, [everypony]!"

For me (personally): After trimming through my anime to-buy list to transfer over to the next year (like I always do), I finally had the "muns" to get both the complete series of Gunslinger Girl and Baccano on DVD... It was WAY cheaper than immediately buying the complete series of Breaking Bad on Blu-Ray... as well as those two series were on my list WAY before Breaking Bad, so they got first priority anyway...

For someone else (i.e. My mother): I decided to use the rest of my birthday money from three weeks ago (with a small assistance from mt grandma) and pre-ordered the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack of The Butler... (My mom was surprised when it was coming out, given the movie was released in theaters in the early fall of this year...)


In other words: The same thing I get every year... A gift card, a complete anime series box set, and a movie for my mom that not only mostly stars an all-black cast, but is also not Madea-related... (We both have different dislikes for the Madea movies... that has nothing to do with Tyler Perry himself...)

I got a 3D monitor, so I can play some games in that most wonderful of dimensions, the third! That's what my parents got me, whereas I bought a presented myself with a new graphics card (a GTX 770, yeah I've been saving up a while) so now games get more than 10 fps with the 3D on.

Some money from my Dad and Opa; and a game for myself during this Steam sale. Currently waiting for a game to drop further in price before the sale ends. Nothing else. It doesn't bother me though. Everyone wished me a Merry Christmas and that's all I really need.

Anyway, I'm currently carrying my spawn and we hadn't really bought anything for anyone else, so I am kind of glad I didn't get a lot of presents, then I'd feel bad. Spending money on things is even more difficult than usual for me right now. lol.

I got Christmas cash seeing as I'm still deciding whether to put it towards an iPhone or a Nexus 5. The only reason the iPhone is being considered is my friend can get me one cheaper since he works at the Apple store.

But I still want to find out whether I will prefer Android. Oh dear. What a predicament. At least I still get to enjoy the lazy after Christmas time leading up to the New Year.
