I'm a college student in my senior year and I have actually have one final semester before I get my bachelors, so YAY! Wish me luck!

As for what I learned, well I'm not back yet, so I'm going to go to go with one of the last things I learned this semester. So...hmmm...let's see...well last semester I took English Language and learned all about English and one of the last things we learned was the history of the language and that at one time English was something that you didn't speak unless you were low-class. You spoke in French otherwise. One of the things that made English the language that it is today is that in 1476, a man named William Caxton started a printing house in Westminster and he was the first to print in English.

Something unlike every child in a standardised education system.

Smoking will cause mammary sagging to occur prematurely because the chemicals damage Elastin, the protein that allows for springiness in body tissues. So that coupled with the potential for erectile dysfunction really puts both genders in a bad place for vanity.
That's the most valuable knowledge I've gained today, thus far. Mammary = breast, as far as I can deduce?

Don't marry a smoker, then!

I learned the distance formula for triangles, the causes of the French Revolution, and some stuff about the Earth's core and mantle.
What you learned about the French revolution is potentially lies and bullshit. School history books are pretty much comprised of bollocks and misconceptions.

My lady is of the non-smoke variety and mammary is indeed boob (also she's the one who told me).

Not a thing today as it's still winter break, but that's over tommorow, sad panda, and your avatar is just fun to watch.
Thank you ^^. Well, what about just before the winter break then?
Considering the time i pretty much just study'd for finals, and didn't really pay attention in class but the after the second day of finals i learned that the reverant is the perhaps the best vehicle in reach, so in my book that counts for something.

You don't learn shit in the classroom in college. You go to the library and read. Class time is time not spent actually learning the subject. It's detrimental to one's progress.

I learned that when it's your turn to clean up the lunchroom after lunch, I can still get detention when I'm late to class. Apparently I'm supposed to sweep the whole cafeteria in 3 minutes. :3

I'm first off to school on wednesday, but i still managed to learn some random never-to-be-practically-used-but-good-to-brag-about knowledge

For example: The longest word in english [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longest_word_in_English] is 189,819 letters long, and is the Chemical name of titin, which is the largest known protein

Another example: Hemocyanin [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemocyanin] is a respiratory protein like Hemoglobin, but instead of making the blood turn Red!, it turns Blue!

I haven't really started my own classes again yet, but last quarter I learned that I shouldn't be learning any "facts" in my philosophy classes lol. Though I did end up learning about what some of the great thinkers though in regards to ethics, philosophy of education, the nature of truth and reality. This quarter I'll be learning about the same for philosophy of science, environmental ethics; plus experiencing how to assist philosophy professors in their classes, and also taking a philosophically-slanted class on "the big bang and other cosmologies."

If it's the sort of subject that benefits from discussion or nuanced explanation, then classroom time can be beneficial (like my major) - otherwise I'd probably agree.

Most people have a skewed idea of love.

That is, they think it is rare or special.

Based on viewpoints both of those can be disregarded. Plenty fall in love so it is not rare. Because plenty fall in love it can be argued that it isn't special. Although since plenty of people falling in love does not dispute the special statement I would say that because plenty in love fall out of love that it is not as special as one would think.
That's using the word "special" in two difference senses. If by "special", you mean "rare" - then in that way, love may not be special given what you say. If there are other ways that it can be "special" then it being common doesn't necessarily stop it from being "special".

Food Science class does not involve watching Good Eats with Alton Brown. It involves learning about the food processing industry. I am not pleased. Especially since it's a class i was dumped into filled with idiots.

That the Ku Klux Klan was ORIGINALLY just like a college fraternity, who had the masks (non-white hood masks) and the crazy titles (like Grand Wizard, etc.) just for fun, and it wasn't until the ex-Confederate Lieutenant General Nathan Bedford Forrest completely took the helm of the KKK that it became violent. Albeit, this didn't last an incredible long time, and it was focused for the Confederates so take that how you will.
